Last season the loss percentages were as follows.
Ruben Dias 12%
Aymeric Laporte 12%
John Stones 13%
MENDY 23%
AKE30%!

We never should have signed him.
Stats can be used to make a point. What this stat does not show is who else was he playing with, how many games he played in a row, who was upfront etc. As a fourth choice centre back, pushing for 3rd choice (when we bought him) he has the exact skill set we would look at. Injuries, personal situation and also not getting a run of games has hindered his start in a city career, which he may not be able to turn around, but to keep peddling why did we buy him is nonsense. At the time Stones looked out of the door, Laporte was a shoe in and we did not have Dias. Good buy, maybe slightly overpaid that has turned out so far an unlucky buy. I also thought he was showing improvement at the weekend and the lack of the teams ability to make the right choice or even pass to each other was in no way his fault

Then why did we spend £41 million on him?
Err, we wanted his physicality, his headers, his workrate, his attitude, his passing ability, his commitment to fight for a starting place but also accepting being backup LCB. We wanted his experience and age.
We didn't expect his injuries.
We were ready to pay up his HG market premium, not his fault.

When you expect backups to be better than starters
it's not his fault as well...

And for your nonsense stats ("loss percentages" LOL) - leave it for the experts. At least Aké has a 100% "didn't fuck up the CL final" stat.

Why did we pay slightly less than we did for Dias, for a perennial relegation level centre half?

What are you on about? Slightly less? 24 million less. Look you have your views and won’t acknowledge anyone else so that’s fine.

I suspect he will be on his way next summer at the latest. We have a conveyor belt of talent that will soon overtake him.

Nothing against the lad but from what I saw last night he will soon be 6th choice central defender.
