Arsenal (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Just watching last nights ITV match intro, can't believe this bullshit about an arse weakened side and City going full strength. How funny is that, total bullshit, always thought Ederson, Walker, Dias, Cancelo, Laporte, Alvarez and Silva were our main first teamers, not one to be seen on the pitch at kick off.

Yes, I'll give him that, it was clearly a game plan so that was never going to look great for him but he was just floating them up to the half way line in the general direction of Haaland and most of the time were just headed away. Nothing special at all in that, most keepers could have done something similar imo. I'm not trying to knock him but surely people don't think he has anything approaching the passing ability of Ederson.
I'm not so sure these days. Certainly the Ederson of old had better passing but the recent Ederson? I'm not so sure. His kicks out to the FBs have frequently been flying out of play and his longer kicks often to nobody.

Really only Ederson of those has recently been a regular starter. Probably partly the reason for our drop in form.

We must have been watching different matches. All I saw was him repeatedly lumping the ball up to half way, straight on to an Arsenal head.
The Arsenal press wasn’t allowing him to feed the ball into Rodri (as Eddy usually does) so going long was the only (and safer!) option last night.
Their goalie was excellent off his line and intercepted a couple of balls which other keepers wouldn’t have got to.
No suicide passes into midfield was key last night.
