We got a point in a difficult game against a team that are doing exceptionally well and did it whilst not playing that well and could have hung on for the win. We didn't play well and still got something out of the game. By your reasoning losing at Cardiff makes City not very good either but most wouldn't say that.
You Tarquins really don't help yourselves at times, do you?

What by turning his comment back to him and saying how ridiculous to say we aren't very good because of that game. Did he actually watch that game and come to that conclusion from watching the same game.
Probably more of a response to one of your knobhead fans (you've got fucking plenty) who thinks your 2 games away from wrapping up the title.

Wow, where did that Everton come from?

That was the best team Arsenal have played at home this season, and I include Spurs, Napoli and Dortmund in that. Of course Arsenal have certainly played better, but I prefer to credit Everton today.

Barkley will get the headlines, but was impressed with the McCarthy Barry platform, and the 2 wingbacks attacked well (Coleman would be my pick to replace Sagna).

As for Arsenal, was a bit disappointed that Arteta started and Flamini was benched. I would have reversed what Wenger did and start Arteta against Hull with Flamini starting against Everton as he's more mobile than Arteta to try and cope with their midfield runners. I thought the defence played well again, Mertesacker and Koscielny getting better every week. Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey, Arteta and Giroud very average today. Another game against a top team Giroud has failed to score in and it does worry me.

All it proves to me is this league is very competitive this year, and Arsenal are still a work in progress, hopefully Gooner2 will realise this!

Oh, and also With the Everton team, Spurs and Liverpool, Utd might have a bit of a fight on their hand on finish top 4! :-D

A team growing in confidence. I didn't think they could repeat their Man Utd performance, but they did.

I agree it speaks volumes for the quality of the Premiership.

It wasn't a perfect performance by EFC as they had a lot of good attacking situations but didn't force your keeper to make many saves. Lukaku is for me over-rated.

Barry's very good on the ball, and runs and runs, but just runs a little slowly which in City's open system isn't a good idea, and when you've already got a player like Yaya who isn't great without the ball, we had to let him go

Agree . Everton best team we have played this season in the league. don,t think i seen team midfield that was good against us for a long time.

We were poor first half but second half we played well. good point and point clearer then on friday.

Mertersacker and koscieny out of this world again. Best two center halfs in the league. Giroud was very good i thought and nearly scored goal of the season.

I think we the real deal and not just work in progress. top of toughest champions league group shows that. We got pod and ox still to come back and got depth in buckleholds. Not perfect but like myles palmer said on arsenal news review we the most consistent team in this league by far. Highest points we had this time of season according to bbc for over seven years.

Everton going to give united, spurs, liverpool a battle for top four but i think their lack of squad depth will hurt them over season. Still think united get 4th, with spurs 5th, everton 6th and liverpool 7th and southampton 8th.

Best 2 centre halves in league? You mean as a pair right?

Must disagree. I thought Giroud was average today. A good through ball to put Wilshere through and a speculative shot in the last minute aside he did very little. He was lucky Ozil was behind him or that would have been a horrendous miss.
I'm not saying he's not a good player, but we really need to find our own Aguero or Suarez and that's easier said than done.

Plus, there's still miles to go. We've got a lot of tough away games to go, Spurs, St James, Etihad, Stamford Bridge, Goodison, Anfield, Stoke etc. Lots of potential for dropped points there! Like it or not the fixture list has been fairly kind so far.

I thought giroud did well. our midfield was average which is why arsene took all three midfielders off which was the right call.giroud class player mate. his tecnique for that shot at end that nearly won it showed that. pod still to come back who can score and we buy striker in jan to improve

You say that but we been consistent mate and that what matter, chelsea have lost at likes of stoke and newcastle, city at villa , cardiff and sunderland. we not dropping points against teams in bottom half and that 60'% of job to win league.

Yes we got some tough away games but so have our rivals. We only let in 11 goals so far which is far less then everyone else. have best defence in league that helps.
Five point in front and only city have a better goal difference then us. Got seven points from home games against three top seven teams in everton, liverpool and spurs. So we producing in big games so far.

If we get through next two games succesfully then we be in very strong position. Its a long way to go but it been great season so far. But i understand long way to go.

-- Sun Dec 08, 2013 11:42 pm --

I was at the game today

Giroud is over cooked and needs a rest

We need to buy a striker in January otherwise our title hopes will slide
