ExactlyAnd a liar. It’s systematic and endemic of Liverpool Football Club. They will do anything to put the club and the fans in a good light.

Same, I used the metro to the game in Istanbul but, long story, I ended up on the busses after, big mistake, won't happen again.Likewise, when the message came through from City about getting the buses at 3:30pm, the general consensus was fuck that. We got a cab no problem.
Istanbul tought me never to listen to official advice ever again.
VAR, some horrible tactics, too much football on TV all big factors for me. The excitement wanes when you have too much access to anything and there’s too much footy available. The 'biggest rivalry in world football' today. Even the commentators saying it was flat as a pancake. Silence for most of the game. Showed supporters just standing with arms folded. Its not just a City problem.
Back In the day Palace would've been lucky if they brought 2 coaches to Maine Rd, that would've adversely affected any atmosphere.Realistically the atmosphere against Palace at home is always going to be average and would have been at Maine Road too. It was on a par with all other drab games at home of which there are many. The atmosphere against Liverpool and Spurs was more disappointing. We usually ramp it up around March.
Liverpool are hardly a fair comparison. I’m often in the city going places or doing things when they’re home and never hear a Scouse accent in their colours. At Lime Street, the trains from London and the Midlands empty with red shirts and scarves. The 'biggest rivalry in world football' today. Even the commentators saying it was flat as a pancake. Silence for most of the game. Showed supporters just standing with arms folded. Its not just a City problem.
Metro going was a piece of piss. I took one look at that bus queue, turned around and headed straight there.Same, I used the metro to the game in Istanbul but, long story, I ended up on the busses after, big mistake, won't happen again.
Similar to yesterday :-)Back In the day Palace would've been lucky if they brought 2 coaches to Maine Rd, that would've adversely affected any atmosphere.
I think the difference is we accept that it’s not great at the Etihad, whereas certain other clubs delude themselves into thinking it’s bouncing at their ground every week. After watching today's match at Klanfield I am sure if you ask the other prem football team fans about there atmosphere they would be similar to ours. Atleast we turn up at away games. CTID
Unless Eric Nixon engages in a bit of fisticuffs with those lovely Bright & Wright chapsRealistically the atmosphere against Palace at home is always going to be average and would have been at Maine Road too. Twats being twats. What were the lights for at about 70 minutes? Pockets in the 3rd tiers holding their phones aloft with torches on?
This person is spot-on, everywhere has ultra fans who make the noise, but there seems ooo we can't have that in the EPL, Maybe this is what is needed to wake the money people at the club.the club sorted a singing section, and its quiet half the time.
Can we blame lazy fans? YES
Tourist fans to blame? YES
Pricing for a game, when the away team plays at least half less? YES
Atmosphere was dying a death at alot of clubs, they've brought in little ultra groups and the atmosphere is a lot better at these grounds.
You have Aberdeen, Rangers & Celtic doing it.
You've got teams like Newcastle, Villa and Arsenal all doing it in some shape or form.
Palace have done it for years but they were really quiet last night.
Even clubs like Stockport have started doing it and the reaction to having an organised singing section has been well recieved.
It doesnt have to have a megaphone or drums. it can be done.
The completon of the north stand wont do shit
@mancityvstoke https://the3252.net/You won't get a cauldron every single game ......we never have.
Anyway.......it's an argument been going on since they made the Kippax all seated.
Won't ever change...........sitting and singing/ballooning about doesn't mix well.
The safe standing areas need looking at again. Some kind of membership or something. I dunno.....it's not easy is it.
If you don't want to sing fuck off somewhere else? BUT replace with fuckers who want to join in.
Great post pal. I'm in 317 and it was for most parts, flat as a witches tit on Saturday. But when it's a training excercise against s team with 11 players behind the ball then is it any wonder. The match day experience is not what it was, even when we were shite. We are blessed to have the best team in the world, but with that brings JCLs who just sit there demanding to be entertained. 20 years ago I'd be ill if I missed a game, and it would be a major reason why I couldn't go. Now, not so, especially with the traffic, var, bent decisions and it being sterilised. Its just the way football is going and has been going for 30 odd years. I'll always love CITY, but will I always love going ? Maybe not.Agree it's a football problem at least a premier league problem.
FFP has made clubs chase the money, if clubs want to invest they have to increase the turn over. This means higher ticket prices, more corporate deals, more matchday tours, more club tours with players having less rest.
With so much money in the premier league clubs well try to stay in at the cost to football, fans and entertainment. More teams will play park the bus as that clubs main aim to to keep the premier league money rolling in.
Long term fans are getting priced out and replaced with day trippers in all most every pl club. This is killing the atmosphere as these fans dont live and breathe their club. You see half n half scarfs at ever ground.
People are saying theres still enough City fans at the match a noise. But it's not the same when you sing that the 30odd sat around you look at you as if your mad.
I did the pitch tour as part if a Christmas treat out of that 20 or so their was a dipper, arsenal, Sheffield, Barcelona, RM Inter Milan and some others fans all going to the palace game. All loaded down with stuff from the souvenir shop. Supporters like me FOC can just about the ticket, travel costs and a beer, what do I bring to the matchday finances ? 63 yrs of undying loyal support that's it a ticket and a beer that's what I bring now that's what I'm seen as. My seat is a ticket n beer the club would prefer my seat to be a pre match tour, souvenir shop, food n beer seat.
Doesnt matter where you are people are filming from their phones and now turning their fucking lights on. It's not a music gig !. It doesnt entre my head to get my phone out during a game.
It's the same in most pl clubs hence why the American own clubs wanted a closed shop league to protect the money. It wasnt to improve the fans enjoyment. On the plus side a closed shop league might stop the park the bus games as theirs no relegation.
Luton is probably a throw back, but Luton cant invest to try and stay in the pl because there break ffp. I thought the Luton fans were abit small time. Thinking about it now I think I prefer the Luton old school to the sterlised grounds of the pl.
City shouldnt be beating ourselves over this, because it's not just a City problem it's a pl problem.
Add in VAR taking so long to view any City goal that kills the atmosphere stone dead as we wait 5 minutes to know if it's a goal or not.
I hate to say it but Klopp and the club back their fans to the hilt. Every single time. Meanwhile over at the Etihad…And a liar. It’s systematic and endemic of Liverpool Football Club. They will do anything to put the club and the fans in a good light.
