Sunderland v Newcastle and West Brom v Wolves were exceptions as they were derbies that don’t get played very often and with expanded away allocations. We, along with everybody else can produce a good atmosphere at 12:30 but more often than not we all don’t. I guess it’s because everybody doesn’t have enough time to get arseholed before the game.

Think the key bit there is last April. I really don’t think our fans ramp it up at home until March onwards and then it gets much better. Rags and Arsenal games will be good and CL QF if we make it.

I don’t think Everton/Brentford will be great but it may be better for Chelsea as it’s 5.30 ko.

In that case I'd be interested to hear the club's reasoning behind their stance. Surely the club's ideal fan would be spending bucketloads of cash in the shop pre match or wolfing down some overpriced food rather than staring blankly at the nonsense unfolding on the big screens.
 
Enjoyed those new automatic beer machines. Dunno if they're all over the ground, but if theyre a trial and they work and they go up around every part of the ground it could really speed up the half time issue.

I'm on the corner where the south stand becomes Colin Bell. They're just two self serving machines: you stick the cup in, swipe your card, and you're away. Obviously the two machines only serve so many people, but if there is plan to put them up and down the concourses then it will really help.

Second Villa home match I’ve watched in recent days. Atmosphere is dead (it was before they were losing too) despite them having a really good season.

Definitely not exclusively a City problem.

I’m sure Alvarez isn’t missing the River Plate atmosphere where 80,000 River Plate fans regularly join in the chanting.

One clip of one section of the ground singing with no context of the importance of the game or the particular moment filmed.

From that you absurdly claim that 80k fans “regularly” chant. You’ve no evidence to support that at all, it’s just a bullshit comment.

What’s your motivation ?

I agree that we need to. But we won’t, because it’s a 12:30 KO and they are always quiet at every ground in the country.

I’ll be in block 115 making a racket. But I’m managing expectations and pre-empting everyone flying into here complaining when it’s not like a World Cup final tomorrow.
