Sadly, I can go one better. A middle-aged man sat two seats from me was threatened with serious violence by some lunatic (not a coked-up kid but someone probably in his seventies built like a brick shithouse) who was apoplectic with rage because he'd done likewise. It didn't matter that the poor bastard was with his young son who was clearly terrified. I made the mistake of trying to play peacemaker by using the "lets all calm down, we're all blues" etc approach and received a mouthful of abuse from a similarly enraged fuckwit further down the row who then threatened me! I came away seriously questioning why I go to games. I'm all for showing passion but, when some of our own are prepared to turn on fellow blues simply because they choose to applaud a former player, I feel like giving up. Perhaps a topic for a whole new thread!
They are fucking tits. Probably lived their lives like that. Imagine living with someone who gets that worked up over something so trivial.

Wow. Fucking idiots mate.

It’s strange isn’t it, how social media football fans never mention the quiet away ends at the Etihad. You’d be hard pressed to remember a noisy and boisterous away end this season at the Etihad, even when we’ve been quiet.
Nail on the head. Last I can remember, was being impressed at Leeds and Forest last season, although Forest were shite this season.

I suspect Luton will make a racket when we play them in April

There’s an article of the Daily Mail about it too. We’ve just got to accept that we’ll get hammered with anything we do.
I dont understand we have done this for year's, what do other fans embarrassing about this ? Not enough noise, to few what is wrong with this. How is it on other grounds and why does people care I dont get it I don't see anything wrong or embarrassing about that video as a City fan.

I think people are saying it’s lacklustre.. when it was pissing it down and everyone was in the pub.
Imo this kind of thing is just for kids/families and you can guarantee if it was rammed and lively the same people slagging it off would be saying it’s manufactured and cheesy.
Just another stick to beat us with

how is it at Anfield, Old Toilet, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal I have never seen it because until now I haven't care but now I am curious [emoji3166]

You clap snidey, slapped arse, agitating sulkers all you like if it makes you feel good.
I just see it as two players who wanted to play more football. Sterling wasn’t good enough any more, but he gave us plenty of good times in a blue shirt. He was a main player in one of the greatest sides City and the Premier League have seen. The front three of Sterling, Sane and Aguero were incredible at times. Even when his standards slipped he still put the effort in. He literally got us back in the game in the Villa match with his cross for Gundogan’s first goal. So yes absolutely it will make me feel better if I clap louder to drown out some spolit arse wankers who have short memories and feel they have to hate players who go elsewhere after their time at City. As long as they don’t go to United or badmouth the club or supporters, I have no problem with it at all.

I couldn’t give a shit as like most proper football fans I’m there to meet up with the old man, family, have a pint and watch 90 minutes of football! Not these sad fuckers on Twitter watching live streams of pre match entertainment and counting empty seats in the 91st minute

What level of dickhead supporters have we attracted nowadays?

Booing Raheem and Cole Palmer? That's just wrong. Blues don't boo Blues
Some do, but they shouldn't (unless they go to the reds, etc).

Sterling part of our 2nd best ever team. Palmer acknowledged the applause too. He can't help being brought up a red as a kid. Was at the club for close to 15 years and scored the goal which effectively won us the Super Cup.
He left cos he saw another season getting junk minutes. Fair play to the lad and good luck.

Oh sod off with the "hate" shit.
Good player makes good pass - well well. Off to make a gratitude banner. Was a miserable diva when he was here and hasn't improved much since he left. Don't get me wrong, delighted he did or we'd never have won the CL - just the way he went about agitating a move. As for Palmer - we asked for some patience seeing as we'd brought him on and given him his chance - wasn't prepared to do so - a lad in a hurry like sturridge. - hardly standing ovation stuff.

"Spoilt arse wankers" - because they hold a different view to your magnanimous, self-righteousness. Nice.

Seems to me some people are pretty unforgiving, even when in the grand scheme of things Sterling ans particularly Palmer didn’t do much wrong. I never saw the papers reporting disharmony in the camp or even reports that they were angling for a move away. A player wants to play more football and believes in his own ability - it’s not really a shock or a big deal. We let them go and moved on.

Let's just agree to disagree - your post replies are better mannered than mine - can't agree on everything. Cheers.

The announcer i
Noticed the stadium announcer toned it down yesterday too.. imagine he’s seen some of the flack he’s been getting this past week and reined it in.

It worked. We don’t need his chants to get the fans going after a goal. This is the PL not the Bundesliga. He should stick to announcing their names instead of chanting their names.
