I’m sure there’s an Oasis or Smiths song we can blast out next week at the end of the match after beating the Rags.

Decent atmosphere at Bournemouth today, although very tense for a lot of the second half. Understandably so!

7.5/10 well done all for making that horrendous trip down to the south coast.

I also thought the Bournemouth fans were pretty good as well, and we're certainly up for it in the 2nd half as they looked for an equaliser.

Those that sing are the only proper city supporting fans, the rest are city spectating fans.

Sole difference between the two sets is that one understands that the team needs physical support, the other thinks that paying their money alone is enough to help.

Only one set is right, it's the set who give physical support, generations of players and managers all through football have consistently confirmed this by saying how important their fans cheering them on in tough times is. However, those that don't want to do it still believe they know better and will always resort to the "I pay my money, I'll do as I please" line.

Blaming the club's seating arrangement is a convenient excuse, and whilst it may help to bunch all the singers together, that will only ever be a compromise. The fact is, we have a large apathetic fan base who have become used to success, they'll sing and leave games when they bloody well like.
Well said!

Most of their songs seemed to be "we forgot that you were here", or "your support is fucking shit".
They definitely did sing those, but it was only once or twice I thought, although I'm happy to be wrong on that as I wasn't exactly paying attention to what they were chanting.

However, I don't think that this discredits the fact that they did generally make noise throughout most of the game. Fair play to them

It was certainly more than once, I couldn't care less if I'm honest, the most songs I could hear were from City, went a bit quieter second half for obvious reasons, but them singing that shit was out of order really.

Love it.

Just change the 3rd verse to "fuck off BACK to Monaco" and its a winner.

I'll be banging that one out in 116 on Sunday.
Back doesn't work.

Composing masterpieces like this doesn't come overnight or without rehearsal don't you know !!

I take your point mate, and I appreciate you might think my comment is like Shakin Stevens criticising the back catalogue of Elvis, but I give you this...

"Fuck off BACK to London, the City is ours" doesn't quite cut it without the back.

"Fuck off BACK to Monaco, we're still on our perch" it is then.

Comfort yourself in the knowledge that Prince once commented that Sinaed O'Connors cover of "Nothing Compares" was infinitely better than his original, so think of me as Sinaed and you'll come to terms with the fact that sometimes, sprinkling a bit of stardust can turn a good piece of work into a classic.

Lon Don is much more symmetrical than
Mon a co.

Trust me, I'm considered to be something of an expert at this kind of thing.

Hasta.

"Expertise", however, might just be killing your creativity. Move away from the Stock, Aitken & Waterman template. Think outside the box. Think McLaren, not Minogue. Gallagher not Glitter.

(might have pushed it a bit too far with the last one)...

All thats gold doesn't glitter.

More tourists than ever this season, noticed it in my block. The amount that arrive 30 mins into the game, shopping bags, stood taking photos in front of fans trying to see the game. Something needs to be done by the club to ensure proper fans are in the stadium!
