Bernardo Silva

I wouldn't be too confident in saying we’ve got that yet!

Barça sending a load of boxes with thousands of 25 pesetas coins in them is more likely than us being pinged a bank transaction from those shysters.
Apparently we received the first instalment a couple of months ago but no idea what amount that was for.

If Barca wait another week to get this done, I imagine City won’t sell either way. No way we let a player of his influence leave that late in the window, even with possible replacements lined up. I know Pep loves Barca, but he loves winning more and losing Bernardo now would be detrimental to that

Wasn't it confirmed yesterday by effectively all our briefed media journalists that the offer must be in excess of £80 million. That's easily over 100 million euros. It was also specified the club would have to be "forced" to sell, as well as only willing to sell if the replacement is sorted.

You have A: Price + B: Willingness + C: Replacement ( identified + agreed + signed ) before we sell him.

The Rags have a better chance of winning 9-0 at Anfield with 10 men, than Barcelona has in signing Bernardo this summer.

We should charge them as much as they are asking for Frenkie De Jong

Even though Bernardo is better and on lower salalry than Frenkie, which should make him more expensive but we are ok.

If they want 80 for FDJ then we should ask for 80

I really don't know why our club does not have a final date for this transfer to happen. Like they could just put a press release saying this happens before August 10 or never (fuck off kindly please)..We cannot let the transfer happen on the final week and then search for a replacement.

I would imagine they have a cut off point both in terms of fee and timing .... but they are hardly going to publicise it with a press release.

Exactly. We just did that with Ake,

H I note the highlighting to the ‘he’s asked to leave’ so with due respect and for clarity; I didn’t say that he’d put in a formal transfer request, but we all know, from what Pep has said alone, that he’s wanted to move (he’s quite capable of making his feelings about a situation abundantly clear without putting it into writing - eg. him slurping on his lovely cup of coffee as a ‘fuck you’ salute to the dippers - another Bernardo Silva moment that I’ll always treasure as a memory).
IMO the fact that he’s not tried to strong arm the club by putting in a formal transfer request, even though he’s made his preferences clear and waited for 3 seasons now, is another example of his respect for the club and the fan base.
IMO he’s due our respect in return.
No I said he never asked to leave in 2020. You’re making that up.

2 years, not 3. There’s nothing out there saying he was angling for a move in 2020.
