They have got Alonso lined up as well as the other un registered players.I wonder if it's "can't" or "won't" pay De Jong his outstanding wages. Either is a shitshow.

It is just the fee they have to negiotiate (£80m is apparently the club's valuation)If true, I’d imagine the apparently higher transfer fee is intended to cover the deferred wages he’s owed - essentially Chelsea paying the debt off on Barca’s behalf.
What it does mean is they won’t necessarily have €80m to spend off the back of this - but as I understand it, cash for transfers is not what they’re struggling with. It’s all about the wage cap.
I’d imagine this means they’re good to go for Bernie.
Doesn’t mean it’s definitely happening, but this deal would certainly make it look a lot more likely.

I wouldn't be too confident in saying we’ve got that yet!And the £50M we got for Ferran Torres was a great piece of business.
They left the greatest player in the history of their club, perhaps of all time, crying at the table, forced to leave against his will. You can praise them all you want but that is an utter disgrace that can never be lived down. Its a fucking stain smack in the middle of their logo. They don't get an ounce of respect from me.they are putting together some squad of high quality players.
Sh1t or bust with the loans/cash they have raised.
Meaning you are correct but I thought I`d put those figures in to hopefully deter other posters claiming we sell below their estimation.Meaning?
Wonderful. Their handling of Messi was splendid. Give me a fucking break with these a holes. They're an 'istory club, doesn't matter a fcuk to the bigwigs what they do
And the leak Barcelona made about us accepting a lower fee. Its not going to happen.Fair enough - I haven’t read the article, but the fee they apparently agreed with the Rags earlier this summer was lower than £80m
Apparently we received the first instalment a couple of months ago but no idea what amount that was for.I wouldn't be too confident in saying we’ve got that yet!
Barça sending a load of boxes with thousands of 25 pesetas coins in them is more likely than us being pinged a bank transaction from those shysters.
The first of 50 million instalments, I’ve heard!Apparently we received the first instalment a couple of months ago but no idea what amount that was for.
They're paying through scratch cards. The first of 50 million instalments, I’ve heard!
I would imagine they have a cut off point both in terms of fee and timing .... but they are hardly going to publicise it with a press release.I really don't know why our club does not have a final date for this transfer to happen. Like they could just put a press release saying this happens before August 10 or never (fuck off kindly please)..We cannot let the transfer happen on the final week and then search for a replacement.
Exactly. We just did that with Ake,I really don't know why our club does not have a final date for this transfer to happen. Like they could just put a press release saying this happens before August 10 or never (fuck off kindly please)..We cannot let the transfer happen on the final week and then search for a replacement.
No I said he never asked to leave in 2020. You’re making that up.H I note the highlighting to the ‘he’s asked to leave’ so with due respect and for clarity; I didn’t say that he’d put in a formal transfer request, but we all know, from what Pep has said alone, that he’s wanted to move (he’s quite capable of making his feelings about a situation abundantly clear without putting it into writing - eg. him slurping on his lovely cup of coffee as a ‘fuck you’ salute to the dippers - another Bernardo Silva moment that I’ll always treasure as a memory).
IMO the fact that he’s not tried to strong arm the club by putting in a formal transfer request, even though he’s made his preferences clear and waited for 3 seasons now, is another example of his respect for the club and the fan base.
IMO he’s due our respect in return.
