Some good points but just as a comparison and I'm not saying they're always cheaper, Liverpool's cheapest adult ticket (apart from those limited number £9 ones they make available to fans with 'L' postcodes) for last night's game against United was £37. Our cheapest adult ticket against United was £63. The club tend to have great pricing for FA Cup games but £40-odd for a rearranged midweek game against Brighton is out of touch.Completely disagree here. Whilst I appreciate and very much sympathise that £45 may be a stretch for some fans in today's world I don't think it is out of line with any other PL club. You have to appreciate that the club has to stay in line with FFP guidelines (at least while they exist) and also operate as a successful business. We can't expect to be a top team with top players and yet expect the club to provide reduced ticket prices (especially when we are top of the league and current Champions). I think our owners have done way more than many other owners in terms of trying to engage and understand the fanbase, they have also always tried to keep ticket prices on the reasonable side compared to most if not all other top 6 clubs. The other issue is that many fans (who do have the money) are just happy to watch on TV rather than go out for midweek games against mid/low positioned teams.
Cheapest adult ticket V rags wasn’t £63 at all !Some good points but just as a comparison and I'm not saying they're always cheaper, Liverpool's cheapest adult ticket (apart from those limited number £9 ones they make available to fans with 'L' postcodes) for last night's game against United was £37. It's everywhere on here atm. Let's hope back to back home wins takes the edge off everything!Wish I was going tonight I'm fucking buzzing for it! 7 cup finals starting with tonight, can't understand the negativity in here
City will more likely think “we need to make more of this stadium corporate because we can’t fill it going off normal tickets for the paupers” while being completely clueless about why.Maybe the penny will drop one day.
After fans have just paid £100's during April alone including both Madrid games at home (with some fans doing Wembley and Madrid away also) they think it's acceptable to be charging on average £45 for Brighton at home.
When they see empty seats in abundance tonight maybe they will realise (probably not lol)
Can't believe how out of touch they really are at the minute with fans - it's getting worse with each passing season.
May have been cheaper ones rows 1-3, only a handful though, cheapest ticket looks like £42 tonight but there were a couple for £29 front 3 rows of SS.What was it then?
Youve answered your own question. Price.City will more likely think “we need to make more of this stadium corporate because we can’t fill it going off normal tickets for the paupers” while being completely clueless about why.
But I stand by my point earlier, we have shit loads of local fans who never bother coming to games.
City need to learn how to tap into them.
This is going well so far. Up to 6 tickets today. Tickets that otherwise would have gone to waste.Anyone with a spare for tonight and doesn't want an empty seat - pm me. I can shift them if you're willing to give them away for free.
Already shifted 4 this afternoon.
4 extra fans in the stadium, supporting the lads.

We are stuck in a vicious circle where loads of people aren’t going because the atmosphere and match day experience is often shit. We’ve got a bunch of people trying desperately to get the atmosphere going in the wrong areas singing the wrong songs and that’s making it worse. And it’s giving us a PR problem because we are starting to get a label for it and that doesn’t appeal to young fans.City will more likely think “we need to make more of this stadium corporate because we can’t fill it going off normal tickets for the paupers” while being completely clueless about why.
