Category one tickets sold out

In all honesty, outside of playing and coaching staff, and directors, how many people work at City? If they all took an option of free tickets it still wouldn't make much of a dent in the overall allocation. I'm not saying that makes it right but this practice won't be much different to what every other club does.

If you weren't on the direct debit cup scheme at least the recent cup matches were a great way of boosting your points total - an outlay of less than £100 for 5 games would've resulted in an increase of 500 points.

^ i posted this in another thread

reposted below, inc what i quoted to reply from -

complete swizz!

stoke and bolton had 3900 ish of those, so we must have had similar.. notice how we never released numbers like the other clubs did.

Name me one person who got to buy a cat 1 ticket above row 10 today? Anyone? People first in the queue? I was served at the window at 9.45 and if you read previous posts you know how that went! Only a maximum of 342 tickets (if everyone bought 6) could have been bought before i got to the window (not inc phones, but still, the phones can't have sold that many in 45 minutes!)
But even others who did get cat 1, they seem to only have row 10 and below.
What happened to row 11 to 40 then? City kept them all for corporate and family? B'stards eh :(

Sorry but you are wrong, got ours at 10:30 row 12. All you have to do is ask for higher row :)

If you read the other threads yesterday you'll see that i asked for a higher row, the guy behind the window went off and checked with other windows (or pretended to it seems) and came back to me saying sorry this literally is all there is left. Row 3. Bollocks to that, so i took behind the goal, which turns out to be the corner.
Within 2 minutes of leaving the window i find the people behind and in front of me i the queue got the side, row 10. So i knew from the off i'd been shafted, but could do nothing about a swap.
I know like people said what's the fuss about where you sit - but the sole reason most of us queued early yesterday was exactly because we wanted specific areas.
I'm very very pissed off that the window staff decided to lie through their teeth to me, yet other window staff were helpful and got people what they wanted.

So don't tell me i should have "just asked for higher up" - what did you think i did?!?!?!?!? Course i did!!! Queued from 5.30am to get worse than people who queued after.

Corporates have not been given free tickets. I know that for a fact.....company I know have a box that holds 10 people and they got 2 tickets, but did pay the £60 each for them.

I don't have a problem with this, the corporate boxes bring a lot of money into the club, whether we like it or not, and can you really expect someone paying that sort of money not being given semi final tickets.

The one I know, tickets went to a United fan who works for the company, but he has passed them onto a couple of blues.

Why are people worrying about where they sit? At normal away games when allocated behind the goal, you can't just say you don't fancy that and move to the side. As long as you get in what does it matter. Does anyone really think people will be sat down?

the only difference being behind the goal at Wembley to league games,is it seems a lot further away the action when its at the other end.

yes i think people will sit down. im standing but think about it only the south stand a the singing section stand the rest of the ground sit. and there is more of them than standers. it just takes a few people moaning and kicking off to make everyone else sit down.

That is not all staff, probably coaching staff and office staff but certainly not stewards who I understand have to go in a ballot. I do not see anything wrong with this and is what I would expect at every club.

These people are employees. They are paid to do a job.

For free too?

How many category 1 tickets did we have?
Don't know but Wembley sold Tier 2 years ago to corporate. Reckon that's the bulk of Catogary 1 tickets!

No, category 1 tickets were the side tickets in the lower tier, the Club Wembley seats aren't allocated to the competing teams.
