If things are running true to form, threads will start appearing on Soldado now, as people have actually watched Cavani play 90 mins on a not particularly good day & realised he doesn't score a goal from 30 yards, every 4 seconds.

Not really. He's barely been able to touch the ball because of Spain's dominance in midfield. Suarez has been to collect the ball and has been far worse because everything he has tried has broken down. You could put Messi or Van Persie in Cavani's shoes today and either would have done nothing since there is no service at all. The closest was the 'almost' header he couldn't reach properly, hasn't even had the chance to take a shot in anger otherwise (so far).

Uruguay can't get the ball up front and Cavani is on the wing whenever he gets the ball.

Uruguay could have a front three of Ronaldo, Messi and Falcao and would struggle to score, Uruguays midfield is just so far out of Spain's league.
