Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

Manchester City have reportedly handed Napoli two different offers to consider for striker Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan striker has been increasingly linked in recent weeks with a move away from his Serie A employers this summer, with it seen to be between City and Madrid to take his signature.

Reports in Italy suggest that the Premier League club have made the first moves towards the Partenopei, presenting them with two separate offers for the 26-year-old.

The first is understood by Mediaset to be a €40m cash bid with Edin Dzeko included to move the other way.

The second is believed to be a straight €55m cash offer for the player who has a buyout clause of €63m.

I guess Dzeko must have agreed to the move or why would City make that offer.

This is a great offer. Only 8m short of asking price. The Dzeko one is better though.

Yeah I cant see us offering Edin in any deal without him knowing about it and agreeing, that's what I would of thought anyway.

I would of thought so.

I think the Dzeko deal would be to add up to the buyout clause so in that case Dzeko would be valued by us at €23m.

With the straight cash offer though it looks clear we won't match the buyout though.

Oscar Cardozo's agent: "There was agreement with Fenerbahçe but now Napoli are also interested. They seek a replacement for Cavani."

I think the 40 million + dzeko is a great offer that I would not pass up if I was in Napoli's position...Dzeko in my opinion is worth least 25 million and a 40 million fee would be the smartest financial move being that they qualified for Champions league and would have to buy a good replacement for Cavani anyway which would come out of the funds from the 63 million they are insisting on anyway i think Mancini is right in saying Dzeko can score 25 to 30 million in Serie a ..it can be a bargain for getting a top serie a goal scorer
