Manchester City have reportedly handed Napoli two different offers to consider for striker Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan striker has been increasingly linked in recent weeks with a move away from his Serie A employers this summer, with it seen to be between City and Madrid to take his signature.

Reports in Italy suggest that the Premier League club have made the first moves towards the Partenopei, presenting them with two separate offers for the 26-year-old.

The first is understood by Mediaset to be a €40m cash bid with Edin Dzeko included to move the other way.

Yeah I cant see us offering Edin in any deal without him knowing about it and agreeing, that's what I would of thought anyway.

The second is believed to be a straight €55m cash offer for the player who has a buyout clause of €63m.

I guess Dzeko must have agreed to the move or why would City make that offer.

I would of thought so.

I posted this earlier....could be edin don't fancy going to Italy.

Radio CRC,according to tuttomercato web,are saying Napoli like the offer of €40 million and dzeko.....says something about convincing the player to come to Naples......they have deffo got mertens....dzeko and mertens would be great playing together....I think we may be close to summat here....

I would hope our conversation with Dzeko goes something like

We haven't received any offers from Germany but you can go to Napoli. The alternative is that you will stay here but be limited to playing in the prem league and cups because there will be no space in the CL squad.

The thing for me is I believe Italy will be his only destination if City say to him we want to find a replacement.

Lewandowski is staying in Dortmund now and will run his contract down, Guardiola won't sign Edin as he is not his style of player so that rules him out going Germany.

I don't know.. but if I was Edin, Napoli would be a pretty decent move.

It is world cup year he will want game time and Napoli will guarantee that, if he stays with us he won't get on the pitch.

He will get on the pitch but not as regular as he would at Napoli.

He is guaranteed for Bosnia anyway because there is nobody better than him.

I agree with a post that was put on here this morning regarding Dzeko not being a rotation player, you have to play him every game to keep him in form even when he is having dry spells.
