City charged by the FA following the Villa match (22nd May 2022)

Rule 21 includes this.

"It shall be a defence in respect of charges against a Club for Misconduct by spectators and all persons purporting to be supporters or followers of the Club, if it can show that all events, incidents or occurrences complained of were the result of circumstances over which it had no control..."

City could easily defend themselves against this charge. How can they control lots of fans celebrating? It happens at the end of the season at loads of grounds. Plus, there was a steward escorting their 'keeper off the pitch. And their 'keeper for some reason thought it a good idea to stand still, showing no urgency in trying to leave the pitch. That's not City's fault.
We don’t need any more defence than the fact it was Chelsea fans in disguise.

Boy as a peaceful and wonderful football club with great fans, Manchester city are the most fined club in the world
talk about the Manchester city tax hahahaha

fuck me only a couple of weeks ago the FA come out and set some new rules about fans behaver and bringing flairs
ONLY to see in the community shield, LIVERPOOL fans setting them off when they scored ?? NOTHING WAS SAID ON THE TV OR IN THE MEDIA

LIKE SOMEBODY SAID, what about the united fans rioting and smashing up parts of the ground and pitch in stopping the Liverpool game ?

Weve had pitch invasions of total release of joy.
Charlton 85
Bradford 89
Blackburn
Agueroooo
Etc

Since aguero its become a ‘thing’. Running on when we win the league with 10 games to go. Totally pointless and im afraid now people do it , taking selfies, videoing themselves, its just total attention seeking. How can u video yourself experiencing spontaneous joy like some dicks do?

Ok, the villa game could be a release of joy but then all the nuggets climbing on goal posts and clipping oppo players , well youve fucked it for us all now you selfish plebs.

Weve probably seen our last pitch invasion at City.

Nice one dickheads
The one after a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield was ridiculous.

I get this one as it was a miracle but the crossbar thing was well out of order and like you say, people filming themselves sliding around are just attention seeking idiots.

I am going to get criticised for this but will say it anyway. The city pitch invasion v QPR was not pre-meditated, I absolutely get it. It was pure passion and relief. The other ones have been. I've got to be honest sitting up in EL3 I want to be watching the players celebrate. Not idiots doing rolly pollys on the pitch. The time it takes to clear the pitch kind of kills the real moment I think. Only my own view though.

what gets me is seeing the dads with young children on the pitch - what idiot takes their under 10s into a crowd of over excited football fans.
