City v Everton post match

we played brilliantly apart from those two missed penalties. Play like that and you win most of the games. not worried at all.....

Watch the media give Everton a pat on the back for that anti-football display, no one should want to see a team setting out to play that way.

Penalty training everyday for everybody. Missing two penalties is unacceptable. Especially if you consider our style of play, we will be awarded tons of penalties this season. At least one of two has to be a goal.

So you're suggesting we should be succesful with 50% of penalties! Rubbish, 9 out of 10 pens should go in (90%).

Aguero should not have taken the second today, he missed a pen for Argentina in midweek and got stick for that. KdB should have had another go to atone for the first miss.

I hope these two lost points don't come back to haunt us in May.

No sugarcoating that.2 points dropped. Terribly wasteful from the spot. Reality setting in. Same problems as last year and so far no answers. Gundogan really disappointing so far. Thought he took the soft option far to often. Ie pass it backwards or sideways. Needs to be braver on the ball.
Gundogan really disappointing? Give your head a wobble. Agree with your first two points, although they are a bit obvious.

This isn't fucking FIFA or football manager or whatever fucking shite computer game is flavour of the month....it's real fucking football and in real football not everything goes your way....some need to get a grip and look at the game objectively if that's possible (for some I know it isn't but that's there problem)...9 times out of 10 we win that game...today was the one time we didn't get over it

thought sane was good,
three at the back worked well, would like to see it against barca than zaba v neymar
shame missing two penalties.

onwards and upwards

I am not sure any of the CBs would have done better in that situation given it was a one-on-one and Clichy—the quickest among them—was beaten for pace. You cannot go to ground in that situation, as any of those you mention would be predisposed to do, as it is basically taking a 75% chance of being beaten or sent off for a bad last man challenge.

I think the only one that should really be looked at for that goal is Otamendi. He has to stop being so aggressive and going to ground when being pulled into midfield. He is going to the casino each time he does it: yes, he'll win the ball in spectacular fashion every now and then, but more often than not he is either going to get beaten or concede a foul. On balance he is going to cause more problems than he solves.

clichy was afraid to get close to him whereas the others mentioned would have done....not blaming clichy for that as if he had got close he would have just lost out anyway,

the real problem came from the defender who dived in near the half way line -was that Ottomendi? He did it so much last year with similar results and Pep has also mentioned this publicly once already...if he keeps doing it he won't remain in the team as Pep won't like it
