City v Utd post match

It all stems from Peg's after match comments where he accused Kun to be partly to blame for the red card (can't remember his exact words) but it has been picked up and exaggerated by rag pundits and all the rag media until it has now become fact.

We've seen similar before haven't we Raheem.

So fucking true. YCMIU, Sergio gets butted and it's his fault. The reporting of the incident in the media, has really wound me up.
I know i shouldn't let it get to me, but ffs talk about Korean pr.

The media has done a good job of turning bad PR for the rags into them being the victim regarding the red. Unbelievable they make out Aguero was in the wrong. If anyone wants proof of bias it doesnt get much clearer than that.

Apparently he just lowered his head... into Aguero's head...sounds like a head butt to me. Much the same way he just moved his elbow...into Zaba's face the other season.

Allows them to gloss over the fact they came to defend all game and barely touched the ball in our half, nobody has been mentioning how scared they were.

Don't think Billy is crowing about anything.

Not speaking for Billy here but plenty of us think that City's biggest problem is a mental one and it is very evident that Pep thinks City have a mentality problem.

As to the Rags, I'd rather have our squad, manager, prospects and, of course, supporters (despite thinking too many are miserable whingers). I don't obsess our that lot from Trafford like many do but I do dislike them intensely for all the obvious reasons. However, they are just one of a number of serious rivals and I can envisage the battle to be England's top team once again being between us and them but that is by no means a racing certainty.
There is certainly a mentality issue. I couldn't care less about them either, I'm much more concerned with our own issues, which have been evident right through the season, and were exposed again on Thursday night, at least at one end. Any team that has the number of shots on goal that we have, should be beating a team that can't score, and doesn't even look like trying to score. 7 home draws is a poor season, and there's no guarantee we won't add to that yet, fortunately our away form has kept us in/near the top 4, turn those 7 draws into wins and we'd be top.

And let's not forget when Bog Brush lowered some spittle into Zabba's face a couple of years ago.

I don't think we should be crowing too much about their drawing home games, we're only 2 behind, and we've played 1 game less, we equally fail to put games to bed at home.

I wasn't really crowing about us, more pointing out that although the narrative is that United have been strong and resilient this season the fact is they've only had two or three nil nil draws. The rest of their poor results, and there've been loads more at home and away, have been because not only have they not killed teams off (like us), they've also given up loads of cheap goals (like us). Yet we've been characterised as a team which is defensively all over the place and they've been characterised a typically strong and robust Mourinho side which is 'building from the back'.

Defensively the are ok Billy but they have little going forward , they have relied on a 36 year old to give them any joy this season.

Their squad needs a bigger overhaul than ours if they are to compete realistically.

As long as City want to improve they'll always be painted as the bad guys, and united the good guys. Scratch that, any team against City is in the right and City will always be in the wrong.

I'm not an agendarista or conspiracy theorist but I think we are more than just paranoid when it comes to media coverage of City but I just try to pay it no more than fleeting attention. I continue to stick to the belief that Pep will ultimately hand a whole heap of people a big juicy slice of Steve Marriot style pastry.

No, no, you're wrong.

The Belgian ace Fellaini was struggling gamefully through the match with man flu and paused to clear his throat after a particularly scintillating move. At this point, the cheating Argie Zabaleta, who had thrown himself into a reclining position in order to con the ref, happened to start rising to his feet. Marouane attempted to assist him in characteristically friendly spirit. Unfortunately, the sudden effort caused a small stream of saliva to pass from his lips, only to be carried by a stiff north-easterly breeze into Zabaleta's direction.

Amazes me how much attention we give to the media on this forum.

They are meaningless in the scheme of things.

Our failure to hit the target more often is perplexing and the root cause of all our failings this season but one thing it isn't, is a problem with our style of football; unfortunately a lot of people do not seem to appreciate that. In that regard, I'm quite sure that one or two players could make a huge difference to us. I hope that G Jesus is one of those players. I truly believe that if we get a bit more clinical, we will see a snowball effect.

It's got a lot to do with our style of football, at times on Thursday there was literally not one player in the box & more times only one, who's fault is that ? Aguero coming deep or on the wing to get the ball isn't helping , a couple of times our players actually bumped into each other .

Love it and tears down my cheek .

I think head nudge is a better descriptor
I didn't see any of this outrage when Nolito was sent off for something even more innocuous earlier in the season.
Regardless of how much contact, if the rule says you can't put your head against another players head or you risk a red card then there can be no complaints.
Fuck him the dirty ****.

It's about time bogbrush got done again,he has got away with tons of violence this season,it was maybe only his hair that caught sergio but for once i condone him going down, the ref was right there so it was probably more the intent than the contact, cry me a river

That's certainly how the ref must have seen it!
