City's Transfer Window Haul

Re: Realistically....

....what remaining transfers would leave you feeling reasonably happy come end of the transfer window?

I'd say Lescott and Tevez and that'd be me, a transfer window consisting of:

Stuart Taylor (sub GK)
Jolean Lescott
Carlos Tevez
Gareth Barry
Roque Santa Cruz

Please keep it realistic and not turn it into an Aguero, Fabiano fest which you know deep down simply won't happen.

What is the point in this thread?

"Who do you want, what would make this transfer window a good one for you?" "Oh, and by the way, even though i'm asking for your opinion, half the palyers you say won't count because i say so."

How do i give my opinion on what i would take to feel "reasonably happy" if you're going to tell me anyone better than Lescott won't happen?

I can't believe that it's not been discussed on here that Tevez has asked for more time. It was published on newsnow early this morning in a Sun article that's since been changed. I got two text messages about it rfom different rags today saying he's going to end up at Real. Surely this has been gone over!

So you're going off an article in the sun that got immediatly removed and 2 rag mates texts?

Were you the guy who said he would cut his season ticket up if we signed bellamy?

Seems you're a fan of knee jerk reactions

Look mate, not wishing to be patronising, but I was simply raising the issue of it not being discussed. It seems that the piss of every pigeon that flew over Carrington is being analysed at the minute. So I would be surprised if the rumour, or whatever it is, regarding Tevez hadn't already been done to death somewhere on here. No way am I i 'going off' anything.
That's what you seem to be doing.

how can people not be satisfied? Would you rather have RSC and Barry as your top signings, or Dabo and Corradi? Give it time, and we'll get the bigger players

Crouch, he's 6foot 7. cant get bigger then that.

Re: Realistically....

I'd like to see Petrov, SWP, and Johnson injury free with the addition of Tevez and Terry/ Lescott it would be a different side to last season.

Re: Realistically....

its weird how we all seem we wouldnt be happy if we only ended up with barry, rsc and tevez. if someone told us 6 months ago we woul dhave tevez we would take him like this. i dont think people are as excited as having someone like tevez anymore just becaus ethe fact we have all been talking about him and expectinh him for at least a month, therefore the suprise factor isnt there. however he would be a very big signing.

i do feel that we need to replace dunne he has been a great servent but is now in the old guard of our cluband think we need someone more reliable and not a cpatain who gets sent off when our head are down in an important game. we now need an inspirational leader.

many players we have should grow this year, for example de jong and kompany, and hopefully palyers like richards will begin to return in forma again.

i would be happy therefore with another centre back a striker and then tevez but even if not we will have a much improved squad

given/taylor

richard/zab onouha kompany bridge

barry dejong ireland

swp(tevez) rsc robinho

i actually think the main weakness there is swp and tevez would be a gr8 replacemnt
