I'd say Lescott and Tevez and that'd be me, a transfer window consisting of:

Stuart Taylor (sub GK)
Jolean Lescott
Carlos Tevez
Gareth Barry
Roque Santa Cruz

Please keep it realistic and not turn it into an Aguero, Fabiano fest which you know deep down simply won't happen.

happy ish, we need a fox in the box.

Exchange Taylor for Hart - No change

Barry - Great signing. Santa Cruz - Great signing if he stays fit. If we get Tevez, and a quality defender, I'd be very excited.

We should remember that we signed a lot of players last season who will be better 2nd time around. Johnson, and Bojinov will be like new signings.
Already a lot to look forward, and we should be stronger by KO. Our rivals also look to be in disarray

We said that last summer. Don't count your chickens.

We need some world renowned players for psycological reasons as much as their ability. We need the opposition to look at our teamsheet and think"shit.........we're gonna get twatted".Baconface won the title with one of the poorest midfields in the division.Teams assume that when they go to the theatre of coathangers it's damage limitation time. Not really.Attack them and they struggle badly. The're crap really.
I agree,,Barca looked briliant in the final."LOOKED" being the word here as it was the rags that were totaly crap on the night.Infact they were the worst side I;ve ever seen in the final.

Francis Jeffers? Lol.

I know it sounds awful but a young Ruud Van Nistelrooy would have been perfect.

I would like Lucio if we can't have Englands Captain I would like Brazils. Don't think that is unrealistic and given his age wouldn't push Ned too far back in getting games.

Re: Realistically....

I like the players that have been brought in so far this summer, Barry was a complete bolt out of the blue and I must admit I was never really a fan of his, but his England performances have turned me on that issues. RSC wasn't so much of a surprise given the year long pursuit but after seeing our aerial threat last season then I think that we are will already be a much bigger threat going forward

As long as Given stays fit then the goalkeeping acisquition isn't that much of an issue, although its great for Hart that he gets a season playing premier league football to continue his improvement, especially in a team tipped to struggle then he should see lots of action.

I'd like to see us get some more strength at the back, things appear to have gone very quiet on the Lescott deal which is one player that I would like to see at City (just a same Jagileka is injured as I'd prefer him). The longer it goes on the more likely I think Terry saga will prove fruitful and this could only be a bonus to have the England Captain and recognised world class centre back in our squad. The only not of caution is I strongly believe that Ned can develop into a world class player himself and wouldn't like to see his playing time become limited as IMO he was our best defender in the second half of the season.

Think no further additions are required, hopefully after a full preseason then we will also see the likes of Petrov, Johnson, Bojinov and Bellamy raring to go which gives me firm belief that we will be challenging for fourth and maybe even third next season

I would go along with that , i believe the signings of both Tevez and Lescott would make us the 5th/6th best team in the league, if however we were able to secure John Terry aswell then we are talking about the possibility of breaking into the top 4.

See I think we're already the 5th/6th best team in the league and with no-one brought in I think we'd end up there next season (in fact I think we'd have a good chance of finishing in the top 6 even without Barry or RSC). With Tevez and Lescott I can see us in 4th. With another top striker and Terry then who knows.

Re: Realistically....

Those signings would be a great bit of business in the summer, considering we have no european football and MH as a manager. ( i am not a mh out man just realistic he aint going to bring in the top boys at this stage).

Going forward we would be looking at 5/6th, with a cup and/or european football for the following season.

Realistically it has to said we aint getting in that top four for a few years yet, bar a complete debacle at one or more of the top clubs, arsenal or l'pool best bets.

EVERYONE CHILL ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY.
