Judging by the response of some posters on here you'd piss of loads of people if you
A.- keep the eagle
B.- don't keep the eagle
So what do we do we do?
Crystal Palace are the eagles. Answer = B.

For me it's keep the eagle or change to a round badge. Whichever got the most votes is what we should go for.
The sure fire wire of pissing off pretty much everyone is by trying to do both and squeezing an eagle in to a round badge.
That's certainly not anyone's first choice, and it's the design most likely to piss the most people off.
That is fucking beautiful!
It would be even better without the eagle's head, but the colour scheme is the best I've seen.
I think it needs something to break up the gaps on the side of the circle, whether simple dots, bees, 1894, roses whatever, but it needs something.
But the core design and colour scheme of this is absolutely spot on imo.
Is that the hooded claw at the top? :-)
I think the subtle eagle looks ace all round. Also nice colours like was already pointed out.
amen to that brother ,eagle it is thenNot quite 100%. Joking aside though it'll be interesting to know what the next stage will be. I hope it comes down to a vote for season ticket holders, cityzens and members. Can't really see a fairer way of doing things than that. I don't agree the club have already made up their minds about what the badge will look like. I hope their are two or three to vote on then there's no argument about what is and isnt fair. If the eagle gets the vote I'll be gutted but im chuffed to bits what's happened to City the last seven years so it's about the bigger picture. Btw I'm only trying to inject a bit of humour with my posts. What's happening in the world at the moment is so sad so why not try and have a laugh along the way.

FC after Manchester City & 1894 at the bottom of the circle?
Thanks. I wouldn't get hung up on the German use of the Iron Cross, it predates Gorton AFC anyway from what I remember from my lessons on Bismark at school, but in terms of Gorton its appearance on the shirt is unclear. It could be connected to religion, it could be connected to freemasonry (my 'gut' feel), and some have even suggested it's connected to a campaign for men/boys to refrain from self abuse (I kid you not!). On Anna Connell... I've covered that in detail in Amazon product ASIN 0955812771. The opening chapters are free to read in the Look Inside function.
You can say that again mate. ;)amen to that brother ,eagle it is then
Pastel feminized nonsense...with a wu-tang chicken...a chicken whose connection with Manchester is so attenuated I am actually not surprised it is popular.I think the subtle eagle looks ace all round. Also nice colours like was already pointed out.
not our job to educate ignorant fans of other teams of our history ... the badge is for us, not them.
i dont give a toss about idiots in the world that think we started when ADUG bought us, if they think that, then they arent proper football fans. ... our badge is for us, not designed for other fans to look at it and think ... oh why a ship, why 3 stripes, oh when were they formed, what does the eagle stand for?? .... frankly, they dont give a shit.
worry about what we want, sod everyone else who isnt associated the club or potential fans for the time being. Sort out the here and now. Focus on who really matter, not some if/who/whatever .... if you cant get it right for the present then the future is fucked either way.
rant over .... i'm going back to more important things to worry about now.
Personally mate I like the "Football Club" bit written out like the NYCFC and Melbourne badges, gives it a bit of consistency.
If the 1894 was included, I'd have 18 at 9 o'clock and the 94 at 3 o'clock on the circle. I was never bothered about including the date, but I actually think it would open a lot of people's mind's around the world who have been force fed mass media garbage that we're a "petro club" that didn't exist before 2008.
Even in Germany when I went away to Dortmund we were chatting to some of their fans who thought we were a new club that had only been around for a few years.
Incuding the date might be a good and simple way of educating people that we're a club with a long history and encourage people to look in to it a bit more.
