Could this be the end of Pompy? (merged)

Re: Could this be the end of Pompy?

won't any team that loses 6 points gain the fixtures back? ie, get two games in hand??

Re: Could this be the end of Pompy?

Hang on, Portsmouth want permission to sell players outside of the transfer window. Unless everyone else is given permission to buy players outside of the window, what possible use is this request?

in hand to play against who?? we'll just be 6 points worse off with 2 games in hand that we cant play. We've worked for the points and fans have paid money to see the games, so they should count.

I've sure every fan and other clubs would rather see those that would lose a game if Pompey die just get the 3 points instead.

or failing that ... should we set up a Pompey Remberance XI and ask the PL that we play the remaining Portsmouth fixtures instead? ;) :D

Re: Sounds mad but.......

What if we buy Boeteng for 15 mil? Not worth it but we'd get a decent player out of it. Shame they don't own O'Hara, he looks like a quality player, can't believe Twitcher keeps loaning him.

If so we'll be docked 6 points! Liverpool will lose none!

Only if they go under entirely, odds are they would opt to go for administration before that.

I thought every game they played counted as nothing so every team would be given six points... Only seems fair?

Re: Could this be the end of Pompy?

SSN saying"FIFA receive correspondence from FA about Portsmouth's request to operate outside the transfer window."
What does "correspondence" mean?
FIFA bullshiting again

Re: Could this be the end of Pompy?

As someone said, people could buy their players now - those players just couldn't play until the summer. I reckon that City should buy their best players now, loan them out either to Championship clubs or a league in Europe where the transfer window is still open (like Russia, where the season runs from March to November), and then sell them in the summer.
