Dangerous Dogs

In reality all dogs have the ability to attack. They all should be licenced and for me all should be muzzled.
It does piss me off to that all dog owners seem to have a lot of arrogance and assume everyone will love their beasts and become offended when you show fear.

Should be kept on leads in public too. I always feel uneasy when I'm out for walks or runs and see off lead dogs heading towards me. The owners seem to think they have a God given right to let them roam free everywhere.

I'd jail the owners in most cases of dog attacks.

Just my opinion this, but I find the dogs that are classed as dangerous ugly as sin so I wouldn't ever own one. But the owners are usually even uglier.

It would be based on size , how does a women or teenager control a 80kg dog ? size of head and jaw , the obvious ones , we all know which ones we are talking about

I was watching jeremy vine earlier , a women rang in to say she has a xl bully of 80 kg ( that is where i get that from) and a mastife and she reackons she has total control of both , off the lead as well as on , she might have till one day she doesnt .Who pays ? Innocent people
Everyones XL bully is big n soft n cuddly til it mauls someone

Yep I get you. I am a runner and have done several halfs and marathons. I now run with other runners. I use to get into confrontations with dog owners but I now deal with it better.
Years ago my phobia was terrible and I ended up having to give up running for a bit and seek help it was that bad.
I am better now and accept not all dogs are bad but the arrogance of some of the owners is shocking and quite why some want to own some of these ugly horrible things I don't know. Inadvertently I am probably funding this from my tax to these jobless idol twats.

I have dogs. First thing i ask when someone visits, a tradesmen etc is “are u ok with dogs”. If not, then in the back garden they go.

Im a tradesmen and going in houses daily. Its amazing how many times i have to ask to put the dog away. People got dogs during lock down that never should have got them. The dogs were then unsocialised and unwelcoming to visitors. Probably weekly i get “just say hello and he’ll be fine then” as this things barks and snarls at me.
No ta, just put the fuckin thing away!!!

I have 2 dogs. Im actually not over keen on other peoples dogs and i dont expect everyone to like mine either

Whatever happened with the muzzles?
Mate of mine had a pet shop and had a market stall too. Called round to his stall one day and he was selling muzzles hand over fist, something to do with a new law. Don't tell me, the tories rescinded it, something to do with the free society.

I was at the vets with merlin earlier and two mid size dogs decided to have a bark off , the owner thought it was hilarious, merlin did not and was shaking , some fucking thought would be good , dog owners seem selfish
People that bring dogs into pubs and think its funny when it starts barking away piss me off

And not all dog owners are selfish. No more than cat owners who think its ok for the cat to be shitting in everyones gardens

lol say's it all really. get them banned

Had a pit on me once whilst holding a 1ft terrier up a chain link fence...with the male & female pit owner 60yds away argueing with each other.

Something I don't understand is the rspca and other pet protection societies say its no use banning the breed as it doesn't cut the attacks.

Surely it does, if we cut down on all dangerous and powerful breeds we reduce those attacks at least... I just don't understand their concept here.

Not sure of their reasoning. Maybe they just believe irresponsible breeders will just come up with a new 'breed' that will have similar traits.
