Maybe buying Walker is contingent on selling Delph and it's nothing to do with Levy at all. Poor Levy getting a bad name. You guys have no heart.

That's 16 non HG player which 17 is the limit.

We now need to register Sane as he was 21 on the 01/01/2017

4 Non HG have left.
1 HG has left.
So we NEED at least 1 HG player.
We have bought in 3 non HG players so far (assuming Alaves is coming)

My point is we don't have to bring in any more HG players if we replace our No.2 GK with a HG player. So why buy Walker or Bertrand for draft money when there are better players on the continent for less money.

Issue is which PL keeper (doesn't necessarily have to be PL, just English) if any would be willing to leave their starting spot for the second spot behind a new signing at City?

Hart? If not we're forced to go with Bravo and a HG full back.

The season after next we need to register Jesus and Kelechi in the squad too.

This is why Kelechi won't go, we can only replace him with someone who is 20 or HG.

Hart is never coming back. There's no English keepers who could take that spot unless you want a John Ruddy.

Then we're getting one of Walker/Bertrand, and since the selling club will know this (see Sterling), we'll pay through the nose.

I agree if we can get him for that, they (Southampton) are quoting £70M for Van Dijk though so I doubt £21M is likely.

There are a few right backs we can go for though, left backs seem in shorter supply.

I'd like us to sign Bertrand as the HG player as Kolorov can do a job there too and get that Monaco right back.
 
As much shit as I'll get on here for this, I'd try for Shaw from United to fill left back before Bertrand.
 
I haven't read the thread but this last page. I'm not for buying Alves but if as mentioned he is available as a free transfer or thereabouts it would be a useful addition.

Potential, right age for Pep to mould, fills home grown quota, Mourinho has done nothing but publicly slate him and I think we could get him and he's better than Bertrand if he get back to his best.

I think Shaw is pretty good but I don't think they would dare sell him to us as if he turned out to be a good buy their reputation would suffer hugely.
