Dani Olmo

Big concern, shouldn’t be replacing someone who’s out for 3-4 months with someone who’s had that many injuries over the past 2 years.
Doesn't bother us with Doku, so I reckon we are backing ourselves up to fix his issues.

Never thought he was all that great but now we're in for him I'm pretty sure he's the second coming of David Silva.

Get it done!

On the contrary, when I saw him play for the first time, some 6 years ago, I immediately thought he is great, a player that knows how to play football.
Maybe injury-wise is not a great option but he is a very good player.

Yeah those are an issue too. We’ve got a small squad, so everyone needs to be fit an ready in case of injuries/fatigue. Buying someone who’s played less than 50% of available minutes is a bad idea.

As Pep said (probably lying) we have McAtee, Bobb, Palmer who we can use in the squad instead of buying. If Olmo is a serious target then I'd rather use the squad and asess the market next summer.

I don't rate him highly at all, not a player im enthusiastic to see at the Etihad, happy that Txiki is negotiating this one, it'll probably never get done.

I bet you are one of those who very against for Gundo move to City back then when he have a career ending injury and the prospect of him coming back is looking bleak.

Yet Gundo is able to have long career with us and become a club legends, what if the same thing can happen to these player too?

25 years old.......creative,versatile,great attitude and a threat on goal.He looks to be getting better too.

I like this signing.
Would also bring a great dynamic to the team as he’s mates with gvardiol and I’m sure Rodri Gomez and Laporte as well

Our squad is so so small.

We need 2 new signings, one in midfield and one on the wing.

Olmo would be a great signing for us. Spanish international, very versatile, can score goals, can create and has a brilliant work ethic. He knows exactly what it takes to play in a system similar to Pep's.

Even if he costs bordering on 80m, we just need to get the deal done even if we slightly overpay. We have left ourselves in this position with less than a few weeks to go of the transfer window where teams will be opportunistic and look to take us to the cleaners. The ball is firmly in the court of the selling clubs.

We can't go into the new season with no other midfield signings. One more injury in midfield and we are down to the bare bones.

Yeah I probably would have. You spend the big money on players because you’re trying to minimise the risk of it not working out.

Has Gundogan proved to be an exception to the rule? Sure, but I’d never advocate signing injury prone players because a player with a bad injury turned it around. He’s an exception to the rule.

For every Gundogan there’s plenty of Reece James’ and Mendy’s.
