I completely agree with this assessment. They would be frightning. Now, i'm only playing devils advocate here, so don't shoot me for asking the question
What if it does't work against Norwich who are playing a 10-0-0 formation? Who comes in and what do we do?
Do we need to be more direct? A tactic MP doesn't encourage.
Would it be a Navas and Bony show? get some width and crosses into the big man? Get a bit more aerial in the final 3rd. ( I dont mean one two between Hart and Bony here btw)
I feel MP needs to mix it up a bit now. People sussed us out last season in that we were very one dimensional. Had very few Plan B's. Maybe he thought he didn't have the personnel to play his plan b (ie Dzeko/Jovetic)
Well I think that's why they are so exciting, they are much more multi-dimensional than the players they replace. Navas is stuck against the 10-0-0, he just goes round the outside and tries to find the cross somehow. Sterling, when confronted with 10 men in the box, will just take them on and dare them to tackle him without conceding a penalty. De Bruyne will happily shoot from range if they don't close him down.
Then if we are really struggling, we have Bony on the bench, and De Bruyne will actually find him with crosses, and we have Nasri as well, him and Dave are usually pretty good at breaking down defences.
Between the 5 options we would have, Pellegrini would be able to set up for pretty much every scenario.
