De Bruyne?

Wasn't good enough for Chelsea, so why would be be good enough for us?

If we need a quick, skilful winger we should go for Bale. He'd transform this club more than any player since Aguero or Yaya. Absolutely fucking quality the lad, totally different level to the likes of De Bruyne who's no better than Navas.

That's great logic right there. I'm sure Matic would agree with you.

Surely the player we need is a real game changer? and not a 20m 'useful' type.

This every single day. Save the 20m and buy a game changer in July.

Manchester City hoping to lure Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne back to the Premier League for £30m

Former Chelsea midfielder has £30m pricetag placed on him by Wolfsburg

Manchester City will be forced to pay at least £30m to lure Kevin De Bruyne from VfL Wolfsburg after identifying the former Chelsea midfielder as a priority summer target.
De Bruyne, who left Stamford Bridge for Wolfsburg in an £18m transfer just 11 months ago, has struck nine goals in 43 appearances for the German club, who currently lie second in the Bundesliga behind runaway leaders Bayern Munich.
And his form in Germany has prompted City to step up efforts to sign the 23-year-old at the end of the season.
Vincent Kompany, the City captain, is understood to have spoken highly of his Belgium team-mate to senior figures at the Etihad Stadium, who regard De Bruyne as possessing the same goalscoring attributes of Frank Lampard.
De Bruyne struggled to make an impact during his brief stay at Chelsea, having arrived in a £7m deal from Genk in January 2012, making just nine appearances before being loaned to Werder Bremen and then sold to Wolfsburg.

The Belgian has prospered in the Bundesliga since leaving Chelsea, but City face a battle to persuade Wolfsburg to sell.
Owned and financially-backed by automotive giant Volkswagen, Wolfsburg are in no rush to sell De Bruyne.
But having sold Edin Dzeko to City for £27m in January 2011, Wolfsburg have displayed a readiness to do business at a premium rate and an offer in the region of £30m could prompt the club to open talks with City.
Txiki Begiristain, City’s director of football, will attempt to lower the average age of the City squad in the summer having seen Manuel Pellegrini’s team become the oldest in the Premier League.
De Bruyne, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, Everton’s Ross Barkley and Jay Rodriguez, the Southampton forward currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury, have all attracted the attention of City in recent months.

Absolutely agree. We need someone to make a huge improvement to the first team, not another decent/good squad player. If there's any chance Bale is available we should go all out for him, especially with the rag bastards sniffing round him. Add Bale to our current side we'd be virtually guaranteed the title every year! If he went to those cunts they'd be title challengers for sure.

Some people really don't have a clue. Look what this City fan said in response to the reports:

@MOgdenTelegraph: Manchester City facing £30m fee to lure Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne back to the Premier League

@TheMurph_88: @MOgdenTelegraph Deal to be done with Dzeko there, Mark? Realise City would need to find a striker to replace him afterwards.

Well, players do improve... a lot of people have trouble wrapping their heads around that concept. :)

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/8282107/Chelsea-offer-Benfica-Nemanja-Matic-as-makeweight-in-25.5m-deal-for-David-Luiz.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... -Luiz.html</a>

De Bruyne has been quite spectacular this season and if City really want him there would be a reason for that... just like Mangala, Fernandinho and those other awful signings (after 3 games).

Yes, he may not be world class but at 23 he is improving so maybe City believe he can become world class and at the same time add an energetic, hard-working young player to the squad? Hey, it'd be nice to have a player who can cross the ball and take corners.

I wonder where we'd play him though. He thrives centrally but can also play out on the left.

At Werder Breman he got 10 goals ands 11 assists in 34 appearances before going back to Chelsea then to Wolfsburg. Impressive stuff.

You never know if this is Vinny having a word with Txiki recommending a player???
