De Bruyne?

Wide left for me, cutting inside as part of a trident behind Aguero.

Sterling played his best football for Liverpool centrally behind a striker. David can play on either flank or behind a striker.

I think they'd interchange quite seemlessly as they saw fit, would be fascinating to watch.

It's a pick em really. Be interesting to see how they'd all line up together.
Agree mate.

Can't see him playing as a winger, we won't be playing 442. We will have a fluid 433 or 4231

I'm with Damo on this. He hasn't really wow'd me based on what I've consumed online from various clips. Feel like I'm missing something. He's a good player, clearly, but I don't get the mental delirium over him based on what I've seen. Someone tell me what I'm missing? Few nice long balls. Couple of great strikes and some decent driving runs is all I've seen so far. Some good crosses too. But nothing exceptional. Correct me if I'm wrong! Just expected more!

I've never been overly impressed with him ever but he shat all over my opinion this past season. However still doesn't have me filled with excitement, I'm more happy with Sterling. What he will bring is an eye for a cross, lethal balls in but as you said the hype seems way and above his level of ability, let's just hope he continues to shit on my opinion if he does sign.

He broke a load of records for number of assists in the bundesliga, won their player of the year, and showed his fantastic streak wasn't just form, but that he's stepped up a level as a player.

One thing I'd just like to add to this as well, is I watched De Bruyne closely for Belgium against Wales, and he did struggle to create much in congested spaces.

Once Wales took the lead and sat back, he struggled to find that killer pass. He certainly doesn't quite have the subtlety that David does to his game (then again, who does?).

Much more of a direct wide player who thrives on running into space and moving the ball quickly and intelligently, than a trequartista type like David.

It's certainly something he could go on to improve on. But at present his greatest strengths are his delivery from wide areas and awareness of when and where to release the ball. Has a good strike on him too.

I'd put that performance more down to poor management tactics for the game, as the whole team underperformed in that game, you can't expect 1 player to drag the whole team to a win ( unless it's Tevez) remember City v Wigan in the final? ( I know most of us try not to, but...!) could've been an off day.

perhaps 20million was wishful thinking on our part all along. He was the best player in the 3rd best league in Europe. You wouldn't expect to get Hazard for 20 million, would you?

Especially as Wolfsburg paid more than that for him.
