this is not good to hear...would have expected that of Hazard but that's two games where his work rate has been shocking (the other v Inter Milan)
Yea, but did you see how well he brought that ball down on the byline ? Brilliant skillBruun said:Doing absolutely zero defensive work considering down to 10 men.

If we pull Bale out of the hat instead, then i'm fine with De Bruyne signing an extension.
sam-caddick said:Florentino Perez pretty much categorically said yesterday Bale isn't going to be sold in the summer and I don't think Bale id going to give up just yet.
It looks like both Bale and De Bruyne will be staying put next season.
I still think we will go for Sterling.

They have to say that. Give or take 1 month and 15 days and the situation may be different.
Would make no sense if Perez went out and publicly announced Bale was for sale, considering their position in La Liga and Champions League. Would be more unsettling than benefitial.

I still doubt it very much, plus I am bot convinced we can afford 80m with our budget and FFP.
Our midfield is the real big issue in my opinion, that's what needs 80m spending on it.

Speculation but I won't be surprised if Wolfsburg are deciding on offering De Bruyne a bumper deal to scare of buyers or maybe just to weed out potential teams

TMW: City are ready to offer £29.5m for Kevin De Bruyne (23) but have serious competition from Bayern Munich and former club Chelsea.
