Discuss Pellegrini

What I can't understand is how some folk see that feeling the sacking Mancini was wrong and getting behind the new gaffer are mutually exclusive.
It is actually possible to entertain both of these concepts at the same time if you have a fully functioning brain.
It is, but it is equally simplistic to fail to grasp the concept that if we don't improve on the pitch, then it is not necessarily axiomatic that sacking Mancini was wrong,

Here's what I don't get. Why are we discussing failing to improve on the pitch after two games and when the manager's been in charge 7 weeks. As I said earlier in the thread, 7 weeks into Mancini's tenure I was saying that he'd be our very own Mourinho. Every manager deserves a chance to do their work before they are judged. Sure if in two months we're 10 points off the top of the league then I would understand a certain amount of hand wringing about Mancini, however misplaced I personally thought it, but right now it just strikes me that there's a lot of bitterness about Mancini's sacking and an early season defeat has given those who are bitter a reason to complain really loudly.

Well according to FantasyIreland, Pellegrini should be sacked at the end of this season if we don't show 'progress', but that he shouldn't be sacked if we don't win something.
Now you are a learned chap.
Can you possibly shed any light on just what he means?
Because to me his logic appears, well, specious.

I think if you had three glasses of beer of that size there's absolutely no chance of a 'reasonable stance'.
Perhaps, there's a reasonable chance of a spectacular fall though. ;-)
Bit like city at Cardiff

Both sides are guilty. However, I'm trying to keep it strictly to defending Mancini. I am not having a go at Pellegrini. My doubts are clear, I expressed them long before Mancini was sacked and Pellegrini was announced, but he's a likeable guy and ultimately as I've said numerous times on this thread City >>>>> Bloody Bluemoon egos. If my doubts about Mancini are assuaged I'll be delighted to admit it.

C'mon NF,you're a bright lad/lass.....

Last season we went backwards,we didnt show up in some games, the most obvious being Wembley...... We certainly didnt give a good account of ourselves over the course of the season,we werent even competitive for much of it.

And thats just on the pitch.......

Do i need to explain, what you already knew, further?

The Mancini threads got personal Billy that's why it will rage on.

I still think one of the best daft comments was when some random poster I can't remember who said that you were demonic and sucking the life blood out of the club, I might have spat a little tea out reading that one. I think I pm you asking if it was safe to stay on the thread in fear of being lured into some satanic cult.

Right I'm off to get a paper, no doubt you'll be arranging who'll be the next inner to sacrifice ;0)

Haha. Yes, although I believe that comment was that I was a cancer on the club. Although maybe satanism was brought up at some point too, who knows.

I'm going to sacrifice the next person who says that the club let Mancini down last summer by not signing a player who wanted to join the rags ... :)
