Do you give a toss about England?

Fair play to Southgate for dropping Rooney.

He's made a decision that's best for the team, tactically and physically, not on name or reputation. Something England's two previous managers were scared to do.

That's all England fans ever asked for.

It's not down to the fans to pick the side.

Big Sam has reputation of doing things 'he's way' and all I kept reading was the FA would never appoint him because he wasn't a 'FA Man' whatever bollox that's supposed to mean.

Rooney dropped despite constant crap on here that he will never be allowed to be dropped from the side.

Honestly think grown blokes use England just to let off hot air over nothing.

Look at the thread title. Quite a few ARE bothered. That's why we are annoyed with the way our national team
has been run into the ground. I lay the blame firmly with the FA and the sponsors who couldn't give a fuck
about the football as long as the FA can start creaming in dividends from Club Wembley and the Sponsors
can make a tidy packet, too.

Do you think he should have played all the games he has up until this point?

He hasnt been dropped though, unfortunately. They realise that they are losing credibility in the eyes of sensible football fans, and so have put him on the bench. I would argue that is far from being dropped, and I bet he comes on after about 50 mins, if not HT

Nope.
He should never have picked him in the squad in the first place.Having the balls to drop a player he should never have picked isn't really having balls. Especially as,just like Jose at utd, he will bring rooney on as sub so that he still gets a cap, gets nearer the records that he has to break so that the utd legend thing goes on.

Having balls would be Southgate saying..at no point this season.never mind last, has Wayne Rooney looked like a top class player. His goal and assist record in the last few months is poor,it's time to look at better options...
