I don't recall one single ball into the box for him to score tonight.
That's funny because a lot of people were complaining either in this thread or the match day thread that he was poor in the air against Pool. I can't remember if I'm honest :/.

Ahhh right... that's your source.. Ha ha, the irony!

My source about what?

I said I couldn't remember if he didn't get any balls in the box.

You said he didn't. IF he didn't then it's funny that people in one of the threads were complaining about him being shite in the air.

I wasn't using it as a source, I was just stating if what you're saying is true, then its funny they posted this, because then they are just looking for excuses on Dzeko...That's the point I was trying to make.

Irony my arse.

Re: Dzeko

His touch was poor tonight, but he may have just been having an off day. He needs a run of games to get his confidence up. He was getting fouled all night & got nothing off that clown of a ref. I think they should have let him take the pen.

The fact that you think he's shite in the air is based on what you've read in the matchday forum...? Really?
I thought it was just the yanks that don't get irony.. oh hang on..

If you have less than 1000 posts please do not reply to this question.

For the old time city fans, do you think Dzeko has a future with City, and can he become an important part in the "new City"?

Re: Dzeko

He isn't rubbish in the air but needs to be stronger, this is the Premier League and far too often the defender behind him seems to get above him and clear it. Occasionally Dzeko will manage to flick the ball with his head, he needs to do this more, some players are a nightmare to handle in the air and I don't see why Dzeko shouldn't be one given his superior height to nearly everyone in the league. He seems too timid at times.

Re: Dzeko

Keep persisting and let him settle in, there was enough there tonight to suggest he can get back into form. He has his weaknesses, but he is actually an extremely hard player to match up on and can shoot from anywhere with either foot.

And there lies the problem... he shouldn't just be receiving the ball with his back to goal outside the box. Get some accurate crosses into the box for him to run onto and he'll put them in all day.

Accurate crosses? Why didn't they think of that before.....
