You just can't have a striker that needs 20 chances to bag a goal. He's been much improved this season but that still isn't good enough when he's still being so wasteful.

You speak like he missed a sitter. He had 2 difficult chances he didn't score out of. Not exactly someone who's been wasteful, unless you're talking about previous games.

It's every game. Look back at the games where he scored and there are a catalogue of missed chances before he finally got it in the net. And as for those difficult chances you know Aguero would have buried them first time of asking and that is the real difference between a quality striker and an average one.

Had one of our very few good chances to score and should have buried it, but his leaning back, stiff standing leg, head scratching technique struck again.

Was poor, but that's probably good compared to everyone else.

The problem playing Dzeko and Negredo together is that they both look to occupy the same spaces, hence Negredo's anonymity. The problem with Dzeko occupying these areas is that he is wasteful as fuck and needs 5 opportunites before he will bag a goal. You cant afford this against the big teams, as demonstrated tonight.

I agree that Dzeko has been wasteful against Tottenham, but I don't think he was wasteful tonight. He just had difficult chances which he failed to convert, which happens to any striker.

Aguero scored a goal out of 6 attempts on goal vs Chelsea in the 2:1 loss. Dzeko had 5 attempts at goal tonight.

Kenwyne Jones would have scored the same number as Dzeko playing in this team. Dzeko's a nice kid but he's wasteful and inefficient.

Wasn't one of his best performances, still not convinced that we can trust him when it really matters at the highest level, however ,there is no way we could single him out tonight as the only under par performance!

Poor tonight along with the Beast but there are still plenty of games left where he can make a useful contribution.

Not the only one but very poor tonight. Needs far too many chances to score.
