Edin Dzeko

If you want to see what kind of football style would bring out the best out of Edin Dzeko and this ENTIRE Man City squad, you need only watch the direct, fast paced play we saw in the Champions League final. We play like that with Edin Dzeko and we would be champions with Dzeko scoring 25 goals in the league.

This tiki taka football Barcelona had success with initially, has now been completely figured out and is NOT the future of football like some thought.

So one season where Barca had an unfit Messi and their other strikers in poor form for two games and all of a sudden tiki taka is dead haha I love these fanboys.

Yes the style of football Bayern play is effective but they have arguably the best players in the world in their respective positions so its no wonder it works so well.

For all your videos of him controlling this cross or playing this pass or standing up to Pepe there are uncountable times he has looked like an amateur, no player is perfect and you could say and find the same things for Aguero but the fact of the matter is that Dzeko will be sold and their are valid reasons why.

Not sure that type of play would suit Dzeko either. Both sides at times bypassed the midfield going straight from back to front playing into the strikers feet as the platform to launch attacks. As discussed previously Dzekos link up play is not the greatest, particularly with back to goal.

Do not rule out Tika Taka just yet. There is a lot to be admired in both systems of play. Dortmund were outstanding at the Etihad but similarly to Barca there game was based upon winning the ball back early so in that way the system of play is similar. The difference is Barca control possession better and stretch teams where as Dortmund were full of pace. Depends on the personnel of course which system is suited.

Bayern won yesterday thanks to a goal by Robben that required amazing dribbling skills. Edin is not so talented when dribbling.

You mean the match where Bayern Munich moved their wingers centrally and had very little width? ;)

What is the difference between dzeko and cavani by the way?

I don't see that much difference except cavani being slightly more clinical...

Cavani is faster, has better movement, and puts in a big defensive shift (and he can take free kicks if that counts). Cavani is a better player, which isn't a slight to Dzeko who is a good striker, it's just the case and is why you have City, Chelsea and Real Madrid after him right now.

It is a fair question and I must admit I have not seen enough of Cavani to comment. Although if the quotes are correct there is no chance of us signing Cavani anyway. As a player Suarez would be ideal for us and the type of game we play.

But weren't real after dzeko when he was in Germany?

Edin is a good good player if used correctly...can't help but feel that if he is made to feel wanted and coached in a better manner with a change in style for us...we can utilise what we have instead of spunking a lot of money on another striker
