I don't know whether this is likely to happen, but I have done a u-turn with Edin.

I honestly think he would prosper under Pellers.

Despite his flaws he knows how to get the ball into the net, and that's what the game is all about.

Besides I dont want him to be stolen by a German team for a song.

While i'm of a similar opinion,i think he may already be gone.

A shame really as,like you,i'd love to see what he could do in a City team which plays more to his strengths and with a manager who offers him confidence.
I think revising Dzeko's failures as a player to be entirely the manager's fault is a mistake.

Of course it's a mistake, it's not only the manager, player is the one who has to play...but it should be fair to say that Mancini's man management skills were not good when it comes to Edin...

Anyway, NT manager has come out and said that Edin will be staying at City next season and is looking forward to working with Pelegrini. Besides that he said that Edin had nothing but good to say about Mancini and was happy at the club, regardless of how much he played.

He also added that it was easier to bench Edin when on form in order to keep the peace in the house as he wouldn't complain and moan unlike some other superstars....

So, FantasyIreland you might get your wish...

I completely agree that Mancini failed Dzeko and numerous players. You'll get no argument on that from me.

People have spoken of Mancini as a winner, but JUST a winner. When he isn't winning then he isn't really bringing anything else to the table. I can see similarities between Mancini and Dzeko. Dzeko is a goalscorer, but JUST a goalscorer. When he isn't scoring goals then he isn't really bringing anything else to the table either.

Had to read that twice to get what you're trying to say but I definitely think this is a very good point about Dzeko.

I have not stated such and nor has anyone else to my knowledge.
The manager sets up the team to play, so if it isn't set up to Dzeko's strengths that's on the manager. The manager is the one that instills confidence as you mentioned. If he isn't confident, you put that on the manager, and I agree to an extent.

The implication is definitely there.

x2

I always felt that Mancini played Dzeko out of form. If Edin goes he will score regulary for his new team.
