Edin Dzeko is a centre forward.. He may not link play in the same way Tevez does or pass and control the ball in the way Silva and Aguero do but If Pellegrini does manage to create a more fluent attacking style I believe he's every bit as good as Cavani!! (yes I went there).

He scored so many goals in big games (Real madrid away, united at old trafford x 2, spurs away x 4, QPR vital equalizer). Imagine if we can create from out wide aswel as creating through balls, Unless we get an INCREDIBLE striker I think we should stick with Dzeko and add a new left back to cover for cliche and left midfielder so that we can attack with balance on both sides.

P.s - I watched Cavani in the confeds cup - He looks similarly clumsy like Dzeko but that's because he is an old fashioned centre forward.. Give Dzeko a chance to put away all of our chances and you will see what he's made of!!

Dzeko needs chances put on a plate for him, you'll never see dzeko score a goal like aguero v QPR or v the rags this season.

He's a finisher, fair enough. But there are players out there that are equally good at finishing and can contribute more overall to the team. He has been a liability at times, and considering he's an old fashioned centre forward he can't hold the ball up to save his life; touch like a fucking donkey and as strong as a mint imperial.

kinda shooting yourself in the foot there Kun has just as shit of a first touch as dzeko + i doubt kun could score the kind of goals dzeko can... O wait cuz there diff kinds of strikers /next. Again whats up with some 1 with a diff opinion but directly goes to insult that poster? cuz hes pro dzeko ?? and actually IMO it looks like pel will play kun in the hole and dzeko in the box.. kind of deal. again the best combo we had last season was dzeko kun together.. shocking aint it :S
