I may well be a little boy but I live by this one rule;
Growing old is compulsory growing up is optional...

Ill carry on being young at heart,you carry on being an old git..

A lonely chair at the old peoples home is out there waiting for you..;)

I hope he does renew his contract, that way we won't be held over a barrel when discussing a transfer fee given he'll only have a year left on his current one come January.

However, I doubt rumors and whispers from Carrington can be heard all the way from Bosnia to be fair...

hehe well said.

For the sake of Jovetic and Guidetti we should sell Dzeko in January. Negredo and Aguero will continue to show why they are the cemented striker partnership in the starting 11.

There have been thousands of players who have worn the sky blue shirt yet only 40 who have won us the top prize, the First Division title or the Premier League. Dzeko was instrumental in our last one and indeed he was instrumental in turning the game against QPR, we will NEVER have a day like that again, ever. His name with forever be remembered together with the rest of the hero's of May 2012.

I think he deserves a bit more respect than that which we give him. I am a massive Dzeko fan yet I realise that at the moment Aguerro and Negredo are playing brilliantly and he has a fight to get his place back. However, I am not going to start analysing every movement from Dzeko and criticising his every mistake.

He's part of the squad and deserves all our support.

This is really the bottom line. People are fickle. Which is why this thread will never die. The amount of vitriol being flung at Dzeko over the years has been unbelievable. I think he is a great player if played consistently, but we'll never see that at City. He'll play in the World Cup, and I am pretty sure he will look to leave the team for more regular football to prepare for the big competition.

Conversely Negredo is looking to break into Spain's first team, so he's just as motivated to be in the starting XI. This is why I think Dzeko has no other choice but to leave in Jan.

Who would he go to in January? Not a CL club for sure due to being cup tied, why risk what could be a good season at City? He's one of 3 and is rotated with Negredo.

If he's looking for regular football than probably not a CL team. A mid table team looking to break into CL territory, this is what he did in Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.
