Yesterday was clear depiction of everything that is wrong with the attitude of majority of people on this thread, and you can even make arguments for recent managers of MCFC.

If ANYONE (bar Aguero), especially Dzeko, had missed what Torres had missed in that first half - they would be benched immediately, and permanently. Shit storm would come about on this thread.

But you (Mourinho) give a guy a chance, have some fucking patience, get behind him.

THEN he will bust his as$ for you.

You dont bench a guy (i.e. Dzeko, but there are other examples in current City team i.e. Clichy) after he doesnt score in ONE OR TWO GAMES - and then expect he will go through the wall for you. Fair and simple.

No loyalty, no backing of players - just endless fucking carousel and subbing people in an out.

Sorry, but not seeing how Pellegrini brought anything different to MCFC. His signing will turn out to be a failure. Mark my words.
Way too early to make predictions about Pellegrini. Give him at least one season.
Negredo's fighting well for his spot. That seems to have brought best out of Aguero. I only hope Dzeko sees it that way but evidence so far is to the contrary . As you know, most important mantra in professional sports is "what have you done for me lately".
Dzeko will get more chances, it's up to him how he goes about it.

Spot on mate. Fresh start is what Dzeko needs. You can't tell a guy 3 years into his contract that if he busts his ass he will get a chance to start. That may have worked two seasons ago. Either you're going to give him a run of games or sell him, only one option left. Sell..

Are you suggesting that now he has grown seniority complex problem? If so then he must've joined the untouchable gang .

I am saying he's been there before, when he got a super sub status. Did that work for him?

You shouldn't have to tell a player to work hard to get a chance, it should be part of a players physche, the desire to show what you can do when on the pitch.
His attitude has been way off since he's been benched, his cameo in Russia showed everything that is wrong with him.
He's been such an important player for us over the last 2 years, he's scored big goals and deserves the respect of every City fan.
The longer he stays, the more he will lose the credit he has in the bank with most of us. He needs to be sold in January, which if he is, he'll go with my best wishes and good luck for the future.

I think he rightly feels he's been dicked around these past 3 years. He was purchased before Aguero, right? I wouldn't be surprised he thought he'd be starting. 3 years later he's still warming the bench. Despite all the important goals he's scored and points he's saved the team. I think he's a definition of a demotivated player. Selling is the only option left I agree.

I am not sure, but if I had to guess. It's because Dzeko gets absurd criticism in his thread after each game. And it's kind of a theme of player threads as of late.

Which is why I never look at the over-long threads about Dzeko. More nonsense is talked about him - both "pro" and "anti" - than about any other City player.

It was all started by the absurd overhype of the Edinolators, and their denigration of other City players - but the reaction to this has been OTT. I feel sorry for Dzeko - he doesn't deserve this abuse.
I made the exact same point in the Dzeko thread.

However, I feel yours won't be disregarded.

You are wrong there!

It was all started by the following posters (I will probably misspell it) : Swennies pennies Bernabia, GelsonsDad, didactic, pudge, hater team from australia, Sthellenexile, millwalawayveteran, etc. All of them saying back in 2011 he is wank, shit, donkey, touch of the rapist, lampost, etc. They also think he is at the same level as Darius Vassel, Corradi, second division player, etc.

I called him shit and wank?

You wish to make up anymore lies or are you done for the day?

Also, regarding Eaglesfan's point, who was Mourinho going to take Torres off for? He obviously wanted to play with 2 strikers at that point so his choices were; A striker who hadn't scored a league goal for another striker who hadn't scored a league goal?

Also, I wonder how Mata feels about being given time and shown a bit of patience...

Yes, old (and deleted) Edin threads that are gone. You have slightly changed the opinion about him sometimes during 2012 when you realized Mario can not compare with him. Late 2012 and 2013 you have became (spice in every soup) every-bodies secretary and lawyer responding back to all posts that contained words of support for Edin.

I think you'll find I've never called him 'shit' or 'wank' or a 'lampost'

Repeating that I have won't make it true, but you're free to believe whatever lies you want.

In fact, if you wish to actually go back and look at the time you're referring to, you'll see I've had arguments with posters calling him 'shit' whilst defending him.

But boo Edin, I don't like you...
