There are City fans who aren't Dzeko fans, there are Dzeko fans who aren't City fans, there are Bosnian's who don't speak much English and English speakers who don't speak English well.

Cluster-Fuck.

City fans - We all know deep down he isn't a City player. I could never take him to my heart anyway.
Bosnians - He is your version of our Robbie Keane. Shit in reality but you think he is great because he is Bosnian and scores the odd goal, and has good stats on Fifa.

Robbie Keane was never shit and Dzeko scores a lot more than the odd goal but agree with everything else.

Dzeko - 5 goals in 10 games this season
Negredo - 5 Goals in 14 games
Aguero - 10 Goals in 11 games

It's clear who our best striker is, Dzeko and Negredo are the rotation guys behind him, both are doing fine IMO and both have their part to play over a long season.

You seem to block out the reason he became a "super sub", he would come on late against tired teams and score (fair play to him), then be given a start and play like an asthmatic sloth, back to the bench, come on as a sub, score, be given a start and repeat.

Someone said "It is hard to prove yourself if you are always in and out of the team", he would be fantastic player if he starts several games in a row.

He has done many times and hasn't been. Playing a few games in a row don't solve his issues unless there's somehow a correlation between Dzeko's starts, work rate and first touch.

We can not afford to start him in a run of games to get his Mojo back, this is the big league, and as a professional athlete it is up to him sort his head out.

Totally agree with the above, in fact if he put in the effort this thread would likely be all about what a great player he is, but he doesn't, and that's the problem, we all know he'll get goals if plays, but he needs to show far more effort than he often does, even if he was playing crap, but putting in the effort, he'd get a lot more praise, what's worse, is he does it now and again, especially for his country, so we all know he can do it.

He DID it last year and earned super sub label, nothing more. According to BM "hater club" he was still shit, wank, cnut, donkey, etc. who was lucky to score all those goals. Yes, he cared, worked hard, scored dozen of fantastic goals, but did not earn to start regularly and thread(s) here were endless and deleted for some reason.

Do you remember final vs. Wigan? RM did not play him until we conceded so Edin got 2 fooking minutes.

Maybe you're right. But last season we struggled to score in the first half as well.

Goals scored in the first half: Dzeko 8, Aguero 4, Tevez 3

So Dzeko had most goals scored in the first half too. Also think about it, he had the least number of starts as well. Quite simply he's a goal machine. It's indisputable. Start or sub he will bang em in. This I believe is why there is a disconnect between Dzeko and those who don't like him playing. He feels he's doing good. Yet he's told he's shit.

I can maybe accept that confidence will have an impact on his touch, his passing, his finishing etc, but lacking confidence is no excuse for refusing to put In a shift. In fact, if he'd just pull his finger out and put a bit of effort in the would be a hell of a lot less negativity surrounding him. We're a sucker for workrate and effort, we'll let virtually anything go ability wise if the player is clearly giving it his all, if Dzeko was the exact same player, with regards to his technical abilities but chased a few things down, physically battled the centre half a bit more, made it hard work for the opposition and so on then this thread would be about half it's current size.

Wow he did it last year did he? Brilliant. Well done Dzeko for working hard and being committed for half a season for your hundred grand a week.

But then you were only afforded the label of 'super sub' and didnt make the starting line-up in a final? Ah well no wonder you've been sulking ever since and strolling around like a prima donna. I'd be the same as would anyone else on here. Poor love.

He showed the right attitude when he was dropped after Tevez came back from his golfing trip. To enable us to win the league. The attitude didn't just happen. He's been dicked around for 3 years.

Also I don't think he has the attitude problem per se, it's more of an apathy of realizing no matter what he does he will always be the 3rd or 4th choice at City.

Then it is time he moved on, but while he is picking up his 100k a week, fucking work for it when asked.

Can't disagree with that.
