They all ended up going elsewhere when another club made a higher offer than City were willing to.

Haaland is firmly in that second category. He's one of the most in-demand players in the world. If Raiola wants, he can ask for €50m for his services alone, and he will get it- just not from us. PSG, United or Real would pay that without blinking. No chance we would.

Yes we are european whipping boys, we all know that. we dont go for highest rated players/superstars unless no one else wants them. we have lost every major transfer we came up against big boys. BUT we always pull out something out of hat in the end and have done alright trophy wise. So it will work out.

I wish that at least once we went for that statement signing and got it though
