Etihad Atmosphere - 2022/23

Wasn’t great and to be honest outside the ground at the end was quite subdued given we had just thumped our neighbours. Think those two goals took the gloss of it a bit.

Very good 1st half.
Mixed 2nd half.
Last 10 minutes was shite after United scored twice. (very frustrating)
Not the best derby atmosphere, but not the worst either.
Shame people left early. The team deserved a full Etihad standing ovation after that performance.
On the plus side, the rags in-between SSL1 and blocks 111, 110 and 109 got absolutely slaughtered throughout the game. No wonder the away fans in the away end say City away is a horrible place to go when City win.

Was quite good imo, odd atmosphere final 10 mins with them scoring two though. Just don’t get why anyone would leave a derby early!?
If you cant stay to clap the team off after a 6-3 thrashing of your greatest rivals then it obviously doesn't mean that much to you. It's really strange how it's all turned out, we have an incredible team but the passion just isn't there is it ?

I found it quite in parts today, Nowhere near the levels of Liverpool 2-1 and Rags 1-0 ect...Parts of the game were really loud but overall felt like an acceptance of beating them.

The atmosphere went up & down throughout the game, was brilliant at times then dropped to carabao cup levels, that first half was breath taking & left many shattered by HT, which led to a bit of a malaise in the second half, think I described the game as like going to the best party of your life then stepping in shite on your way out after their late goals, was praying for another sick swan

City's fan base is now like United's, Liverpool's, PSG's, Barcelona's, Real Madrid's, etc.

Thankfully we'be still got a local and loyal hardcore, but it's getting replaced slowly by tourists and day trippers.

I saw a tourist wearing a Zulu headdress, something like this, but with a smaller feather outside the main the CBS.

Funnily enough thought the atmosphere (only from watching on tv, granted) kind of summed up each halves performance. First half sounded great and was matched by some wonderful football.
Second seemed more subdued and patchy with a burst here and there, which sums up how we played for final 45 mins.

Listened on the City website, atmosphere sounded very good at times, especially in the first half. The Poznan in the 2nd half also sounded impressive! (Andy Morrison was co commentating, who I love listening to for his enthusiasm and obvious affection for City, and I'm sure he wanted to join in!)
Last 10 minutes sounded( understandably) quite odd . When they scored at the end it sounded like one of those European games when the away team brings about 100 fans, there can't have been many of them left in the ground!? (not seen any TV footage yet)

Their loyal reds mostly fucked off early many at half time
