Yep, I used to sit in 207. The whole stand was buckling.Yes, the stand was shaking that night, we used to sit in 206 right below them! At times unnerving, stopped when El Mago belted in a thunderbastard at the south stand.
The club on 2 occasions stopped it getting going pre match, first when they showed the "get behind the lads" on the screen the crowd started singing only to be drowned out by a just eat advert booming out , then second and much worse about 5 mins before kickoff the ground was silent as there was no light so ect so the crowd actually started singing " we are city , super city" then moved on to " best team in the land" things were actually starting to build then the club drown everyone out with the bloody screens and PA, could have been special if they let the crowd actually be heard.
I’m sure you are right mate but this doesn’t justify the sponsored silence in the first 20 minutes. I assume a lot of our fans in the South Stand were drenched and needed to get into the game. I know he gets stick on here but I've always thought Ferdinand has been mostly, mostly, fair with his City analyses. He took over the anchor role last night when Johnboy came out for interview as jakesnake was just stood gawping like a crushed bayern fan, and that led to some actual football talk!Ferdinand said the atmosphere for a Champions league game at City was the best he'd heard, all very complimentary about the atmosphere...
Yeah, he's alright as a pundit. I don't have an issue with him (or Gary Nevile). We all know they're big rags, but I think they're impartial in their punditry other than the odd bits of 'banter' (which really shouldn't upset any fully grown adults).I know he gets stick on here but I've always thought Ferdinand has been mostly, mostly, fair with his City analyses.
