Love those pics above. Despite the construction setbacks, this will end up looking ridiculously stupendous when all complete. Look how the cheeky (txiki) bridge lovingly connects with the mothership over the road.
Perhaps no need for sprinklers today.

A grassroots club local to me Marton FC have had a day out at the Etihad today and amongst the comments were

and the most stunning HD big screen. I want one in my house

they are installing 2 in the corners of the ground. They look fantastic

Mate did a tour on Wednesday and said they have electronic advertising running around the front of Level 2 similar to the ones at pitchside.

with the added benefit of it throwing extra heat out to warm us on cold winter nights

Does that mean there will be no hanging of flags on level 2

It will be the case mate,I remember the stewards in north stand level 2,telling me to take my little lads flag down because it was covering a reebok sign(I think,was a while back), seen them ask a few to remove their flags also.
Can't see city offering an advertising service and then letting fans cover it with flags and banners,unfortunately.

Thing is, you don't see level 2 when the balls in play on the TV so the TV audience won't see the new advertising displays. Maybe they will install new ones at pitch level when they've put the new seat rows in, otherwise the likes of UEFA's sponsors will be very pissed off.

Maybe the TV company will have their own deal with the sponsors?...dunno.....if it ain't seen,nobody is gonna pay to advertise.

Gonna be very annoying for fans having advertising flashing on electronic boards every few seconds on two tiers.
