Bilbao's stadium is immense, didn't even know they'd moved!

Well they have and they haven't. New stadium was partly built adjacent to old one at 90 degrees to it but they didn't have enough room. So when 75% of it was complete they knocked old one down and moved in to new one. One end of the ground is on old stadium land and it should be finished next year.

In reagards to the cranes they will just drive in the supply tunnel under the Colin Bell stand, worked a few of the days before/after One Direction gigs and saw lots of articulated trucks driving through, its quite an incredible sight to behold

Bilbao's new stadium. And their match in the CL, played in front of a full house.

Stadium looks superb. Scroll down the page for latest pictures.

Wouldn't mind getting them in the CL. If only for the trip.

Wow, what an unbeleivable stadium that looks, that would be a great ground to visit this autumn.

Outside: Allianz Arena
Inside: Emirates

To be fair, they are two of the best stadiums that you could copy. Don't like Arsenal but they've nailed the stadium/exterior.

Out of interest, what do you not like about the emirates? Best ground in the league IMO, just ahead of st James park .

I meant the club - see bit just before that saying they are TWO of the best stadiums. Been to the Emirates and it's perfect outside and in, however they pay f*cking top dollar so would expect it to be. The only complaint is the seats are designed to be "anti standing" and to be fair, they are a nuisance to keep getting up and down from.

Think that once both ends of the Etihad have been finished its going to be awesome, had a stroll round on Monday before kick off and if you look at the cable supports that are being encased in the steel work and compare it with the expansion video there is still two levels of steel work to be built up and the the new tier and the roof have to be added. It's going to be mahoosive and very steep. With all the bars, corporate lounges etc plus rumours of the super store going in the back of the new north stand and relocation of City sqaure we will be up there with the best stadia in Europe, our owners are not going to build anything that's not top class.

We are taking aesthetically here, not who has the widest concourse and/or makes the best chicken balti pie. I'm as blue as they come, but the ethihad has got absolutely nothing on the emirates. Simple as that.
