EU Referendum Thread

Is that a fait accompli?
I look forward to Britains prosperous future trading with the Isle of Man, paying off the billions spent renegotiating treaties dis advantageously with most of the world and now largely irrelevant to big business and the world.

The vote will be yes as turkeys won't vote for Christmas , just enough will prefer life in the field to heading to the oven!

But of course if it is no it will all be worth it as pesky human rights will be gone and we will be able to bring back hanging and all and even better the daily mail will just be able to blame everything on poor people.

Scotland will get a boon as the English speaking gateway to Europe and we will save money on trident as there will be nowhere to keep the submarines anyway!

Nonsense. We are, at this moment, attempting to re-negotiate treaties which disadvantage this country because of the membership of this federalist club.
Exactly how, would the UK suddenly become irrelevant overnight with whom we are trading at the moment?
Prior to 1998 we must have been a hotbed of intolerance, nobody had any rights whatsoever and you couldn't walk the streets because of the vicious assault on our liberties, which is now not the case because we let somebody in Europe decide what happens.
Scotland is a part of the UK, which the Scots wanted, decisions on Trident are taken nationally.
How anyone gets through the day without quoting the Daily Mail I'll never know.

The argument of restricted trade is never explained. If we set the right conditions for companies to invest in the UK they will do. They did before the EU and they will after it.

I forgot to mention bailing out Greece every two years!!

Its all about getting control of our boarders and getting bloody rid
Of all that bloody red tape the EU have rapped around everything.
They need us more than we need them.

If it improves educational standards I'm all for it.

Wait till they vote TTIP in. You aint seen nothing yet!

The funny thing about TTIP is that many Guardian lefty pro-EU types are annoyed by it.

That's because they reckon it'll threaten their cosy monopoly of lots of public sector work, particularly the NHS.

After years of telling the rest of us that EU free markets and more competition for jobs and labour are good things and we should adapt and embrace them, these lefty hypocrites get enraged when they get a taste of the EU medicine they have been telling the rest of us to take for years.

We should just leave the EU without a referendum.

Many pro-EU types obviously have no real understanding of the issues so there is no point letting them have a say on the matter.
