Makes having a luxury foreign backup keeper look ridiculous . One of my biggest gripes of last year. Idiotic move .. Waste of a foriegn squad spot ... Why ???

Can someone aswer my question please. Does txiki negotiate salary's ec... with a player or does he simply identify which players to sign among other thing's. It's a bit embarrassing how he gets blamed for every single thing that happens at city. Just read on twitter and some blues giving it him big time.

Sad bastard's

I don't think Txiki is involved in any of the financial negotiations. His job has more to do with convincing players/agents that City is the place to be and he's pretty good at that if all the ITK info is to be believed. There's so much that can go wrong with transfers that is outside of Txiki's control, but sadly he's the only non-anonymous party in the transfer process. Some people have been clueless enough to even lay blame on Soriano for transfers!

I'm not fussed about this. He isn't good enough for us. Why would any English player want to come to us with our recent record of not giving them games.

Another embarrassment for our wonderful DOF.

Can't blame Begiristain for this.

He was due at CFA today to sign and do an interview for CityTV but never showed.

He'd started to have doubts about the move and decided against it.

if that's true this drip drip drip from the media that we ruin England players careers has worked!

Just a moment ago he was 'vastly underrated' and 'exactly what we need' and now 'thank God we are not signing him' or 'how do you know we were interested in him?'.

Txiki is a ****, accept it or not.

That's because of the brainwashing media. It's Txiki's job to convince him otherwise. He's not getting the job done.

Remember, 'the trend is your friend'. There's now a clear image that he struggles to get deals over the line. It can't be denied.

Getting harder and harder to disagree with that.

Good one! He gets blamed for everything.

Floodlights not working - blame txiki
No chips at half time - blame txiki
Adult card flashing as kids ticket - blame txiki .

Delph would have been a good homegrown squad player but merely that. This may now be the opportunity needed to elevate one of our EDS prospects to fill a gap. There are several potentials who may now have the opportunity to step up to the plate. Time to forget about Delph, get the elite players in who will improve the team and move on. This transfer window has been poorly managed thus far, business should have been done quick but there is time left and who knows what City have up their sleeve.

slightly worrying in that we need a hg player (even IF we get sterling) and there aren't many other alternatives that are going to hit the grade

delph would have been a good signing but he clearly asnt sure about whether he would get the game time.....

the worrying thing is that it could send the wrong message to other potential signings and also i wonder if it has another knock on effect in terms of who we can target due to the HG rule

Anyone else think that his 'doubts' were caused by the media's perception that we 'ruin' English players/won't play?
Yep, genuinely think it has made him change his mind.

I've never heard anything like how the media have got stuck into us about Sterling and now Delph. I had the misfortune of listening to talkshite this morning and it was incredible how slanted the opinions were.

Fuck 'em anyway.
