If it's the latter then I think it's a bit foolish on his behalf. He's up against Wilshire, Carrick, Henderson, Barkley and Milner (assuming he gets regular starts for Liverpool in central midfield) for a place in the national team. His place in the side is far from assured, even by staying at Villa.

I just think it's unlikely that he's had a change of heart because a few Villa fans were upset. I don't buy that for one minute. The truth will come out eventually, it always does.

Maybe it was a Gerrard type situation, and the Burger Bar Boys threatened to kneecap him if he left!

Well I never,did he really ?

And as if by magic.

England manager Roy Hodgson has warned Andros Townsend and Rickie Lambert he cannot 'keep people on board forever' if they are not playing regular club football.

The likes of veteran Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, 33, and West Ham's Stewart Downing, 30, were both handed recalls to the squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia at Wembley and friendly with Scotland in Glasgow, along with Arsenal forward Theo Walcott, fit again after a long-term knee injury.

There was also a promotion for 21-year-old Saido Berahino to the senior squad for the first time, while fellow starlets Calum Chambers, Nathanal Clyne, Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Raheem Sterling were also included.

No I don't think Micah would do that. It's clear he has a gripe with Pellegrini but he was quoted in the media as saying if you're good enough you'll play.

These are trained thick bullshitters when it comes to the media. Sinclair comes across as a shitbag so I can't see him sticking his nose in. Micah all day.

Or they threatened to tie him up and talk to him for a few hours non stop. Imagine having to list to that horrible accent. Even James Bond would crack under those circumstances.

Second time the prick has turned us down. I sincerely hope even if he matures into Gazza and Messi rolled into one he never gets another chance!

Mods can we lock this thread and pretend it never happened, only to be unlocked when we've signed Pogba, Messi and Jo.

We can all have a great fucking laugh then.

Micah loves the club, highly doubt he would advise any player not to sign for us. He's a blue.

The fact he played for us doesn't make him a 'Blue'. He's on his second club now for one. I doubt he'd be belling one of his 'top rated' team mates to fuckoff. Why would he?

So what? A player changes his mind and doesn't sign for us. If he wants to stay at, what is at best, a mid table club rather than the propsect of playing champions league and challenging for domestic awards, etc, then I really don't think that is the mindset of a player that deserves to be playing for us.

FFS, it's not like Messi has turned us down.

In 20 years when he's doing phone in reports on BRMB we'll still be behind our club.

Signing average players for the sake of "Homegrown" is not the way to go. I don't mind the premiums for guys like Sterling because they have massive potential and are already performing well.
