Regardless of their fan base they haven't had any shortage of quality players throughout their history and they don't have a too shabby European record.

It'd be a bit hypocritical of us to have a go at Monaco for what they're doing. I'm all in favour of it; the more clubs threatening the tedious hegemony of the old European elite the better, as far as I'm concerned. Plus it's another club doing the dirty work where FFP is concerned. We're in a position where we can sit back and see how it unfolds.

Good post Ric, and tend to agree

How on earth can we complain about PSG and Monaco and others

Lke the man says

the more the merrier... fook the cynical maneovrings of the old regime

they are clearly tyring to use 'FFP' as a weapon to keep themselves at the top table, unchallenged , in perpetuity...

No fans of clubs with an ounce of imagination shoud be supporting these shithouses

For me, it's like when Hulk went to Russia. Obviously they have every right to buy whoever they want, but I don't understand why a player who could play for any of the top clubs in the world would choose to play anywhere other than the best leagues.

Monaco are just doing what everybody else are doing, what i dont like about Monaco is the tax exemptions they have as that makes it unfair for everyone else especially in light of ffp and this is another reason why ffp falls flat, because tax rates are different, advertising revenues are different, season ticket prices are different region to region never mind country to country and ffp is just a blanket rule and takes none of this into account

Exactly what I thought, I was relatively pleased when i heard he was going there, will hopefully start the beginning of the end for ffp

I thought that this was a done deal

Confirmed now by both Falcao and Monaco on Twitter.

Awful move by him, when so many clubs in much stronger leagues were after him. Could he actually not have any say in this, since he is owned by corporations, who's always after the money?

Great buy for Monaco. For them, he's the Robinho-type transfer that we made under the Sheikh, but way, way better.
