I don't mind people leaving early. We go with my Grandad and little sister, neither of whom are the quickest walkers so we'd never beat the rush, even if we wanted to. The early leavers actually make it easier as it's less congested when we do leave a few minutes after the final whistle.
What I will say though, is that of the people around me, all the ones that leave early are twats. They're not twats because they leave early, they're just twats generally, but I find it funny that none of the people I'd be happy to socialise with outside of the stadium are part of the early-leaving brigade, and it makes it that much sweeter when we score a last minute goal, particularly if it's a winner (Barry vs Reading).
What I don't understand is taking at least 4-5 hours out of your day to go and watch the match, and then being worried about 20-30 mins at the end. If people have somewhere to be on a specific day, or work to get to etc, then it makes sense, but I'd gauge more people leave early to beat the rush than for any other reason.

-- Wed Feb 26, 2014 2:35 pm --

I wonder if anyone will leave early to beat the traffic on Sunday, driving home not knowing if we've won (the cup!)?
Don't be daft.
They'll check the result on the radio.
