As I'm retired do I have to do that in 4 days?
Surely every bugger is going to want the Friday off? It won’t be handy for firms with customers to actively deal with.
Working from home is enough for me.
An extra 48 days off a year is enough of a selling point for me.Don't see the point from my point of view, unless it's less hours.
If it's condensed hours you just end up more tired and then have to use some of the extra day to recover.
So you couldn't do a 4 day week because you used to do a 7 day week? HahaA lot of building crews do it here in the summer, I did it for years, not a chance in hell I could do it now. When I built my house I was working four, ten hour shifts as a carpenter then Fri-Sunday worked on my place. Saved myself a lot of money but being in my thirties helped a bunch
Why? It is was one of the great mysteries when people work 4 days or fancy a long weekend people always take the Friday off. If it was offered to me I would take the Monday off, so still a long weekend but avoiding all the sheep taking Friday off.
If you do a city break taking the Monday off will save you big on hotel costs these days as well. Sunday nights are normally a lot cheaper than other days.
