It's winter here, Darwin today is 31deg... Cairns 28deg...Brisbane is 22deg... Sydney 18deg... Melbourne 16deg... Hobart 14deg so you can see the further south you go the cooler it gets BUT, nobody is freezing their balls off. :)

Plus the state Gov will pay a lot towards your solar panels on your roof, being as there are lots of sunny days you can sell leccy back to the grid !!!

My mate had just come back from a three week trip to Oz, he was telling me Cairns has a Tropical Rainforest so the climate there is always on the warm side even in winter, never heard that before, he has two sons, two brothers and a grandson out there, sounds like they have made the right decision.

I did also, I have heart arrhythmia and didn’t know if that would have any implications, I carried on with my small light haulage business and ended up transporting PPE equipment to hospitals and Care Homes, caught Covid twice, really ill. Now having just retired and budgeted for the future with a draw down Pension, Savings, a small share port folio and an inheritance I’m seriously wondering why I’ve retired, the energy prices will really affect my liquid income.

Exactly. I've had phone calls from them, but not much more, oh I did have to send a photo of a skin growth, with a reply of "oh, it's probably nothing" the photo was out of focus and poor quality since it was on my hand - had to take it myself, nobody else around at the time. Nevermind, I have life insurance eh?
 
Cutting costs here and there isn't enough to offset the projected energy costs, thick woman.
